  • "This place is absolutely lovely."

Clean, tidy, quiet and with friendly owners. If you are looking for a place to relax in beautiful surroundings then look no further. Sitting outside on evening it is eerily quiet. I'm jealous that the owners get to live there all year! Willow Cottage was clean, tidy and recently refurbished. It had everything we needed and space to relax and sleep. Excellent free internet even though it's rural. Dogs are welcome and can be walked on a lead around the site. If you need to give your dog a run then just a mile to the NW is Winston Bridge with parking bays either side and lovely walks, particularly the SE side. There's so much to do and see in the area. Our days were easily filled. As it's rural you do have to travel but most places were within a 10 to 30 minute drive. We can't recommend the Brownlow Arms for food, which is the nearest pub, but it's a lovely place to stop for a pint. However there are many more places to eat nearby (Sunday lunch was brilliant at the Fox Hall Inn - 5 miles away). We've been to a few places over the years, none of, which have impressed us enough to eagerly return again, except for Hillcrest and we will definitely return. Thank you for a wonderful place to stay.
