  • "What a fantastic stay we had at Pepper Cottage."

So grateful that we were given such a lovely cosy holiday home that would allow our 4 dogs. Abby was only a text away providing any advice / recommendations needed throughout our stay. The cottage was soooo well equipped and was lovely and clean. The only issue we had was a lot of places nearby were either closed or weren’t serving food as it was out of season, so if you were to go at this time of year I would suggest properly researching places to visit / eat before hand. Very ideal dog walking field situated at the end of the street, and long walks mapped out through the “AllTrails” app that literally begin when you step out of the gate. We would definitely stay here again and are glad to know we have a holiday in mind for our pooches in the future :)

Abby and Andrew are superb owners that really care about their guests and dogs. Lovely welcome pack unbelievable amount of products .Thanks Abby shame we don’t drink wine . The only thing we would change would be the dining room it is permanently set for fine dining. You can’t go in there to play games or do a puzzle read or eat a takeaway because there’s no where to put all the crockery, cuttlery and wine glasses. It’s a wasted room and impractical for a holiday home

There are so many dogs walks in the village and in the surrounding area. The Bay Horse is a great dog friendly pub,bar staff even have dog treats.

Firstly what a cottage! Everything was very well thought out and perfect for people with dogs. Only thing we would change is the sofas in the living area. They are not very comfy and for us we spent every night in the cottage and by the end of our stay we were ready to come home to our own living area. Beautiful area with a beautiful cottage. Would 100% recommend.

We really liked the style and decor, especially all the dog pictures. A very generous welcome pack was provided and contact from Abbey, made us feel secure in the knowledge she would be there for us if any problems. High quality bedding, towels etc. In fact, the comfiest pillows we’ve ever had in a holiday let. Everything we needed was there for us. Would definitely stay at Pepper cottage again if we were to visit the area in the future.

Everything is as shown in listing. We went across to the The Black Lion pub which was only a few yards away. Very old quaint pub, no music just conversation, which is rare these days! Andrew and Abbey, the owners of the cottage, left loads of complimentary food and drinks, even treat's for our little cavapoo Cody. There was even dog shampoo and towels. They were very accommodating. We would stay longer next time. All I all nice stay with all home comforts. Thanks

Plenty of walks for the dogs on the doorstep and some good pubs in the village. The property was furnished very well and the level of cleanliness was very high. The only downsides we found was the lack of dog towels (we forgot to bring any!), could have done with a few more glasses and perhaps put a small pool table in the dining room? We just found that we didn’t end up using that room because the fire, which was amazing, was in the lounge so we’d end up in there every night. Other than that it was a great stay, really enjoyable long weekend. Would recommend to anyone
