  • "On arrival my friend and her son got there earlier than I did but found on access, which was easy due to the key safe, the cottage was stunning and argued who was sleeping where."

The welcome pack was a lovely touch and very much welcome. The information file was excellently presented and allowed us to quickly settle into a relaxing few days. On my arrival around 1740 I lit the very warming log burner before getting myself sorted. The rooms were upto and in fact beyond my expectation. Having such a well presented venue where we were able to take Poppy the dog was brilliant living in Manchester she doesn't get the chance to see gods own country in that much detail and was exhausted every evening. The items for maintaining the cleanliness of the cottage ie hoover burner tools and ironing board with a excellent iron by the way was welcomed. I would definitely come back and would recommend my friends come too. Hot tub amazing but due to weather out of your control we were only able to use it on the last night with us venturing out during the day. Maybe a onerhead cover would make this possible, if only I'd taken my basher kit, the pergola needs some repair but was safe to go under more cosmetic but we've just come through a harsh autumn and winter .

  • "Really nice comfortable cottage with excellent hot tub."

Great to have such a nice welcome pack as well. One downside though was the constant loud barking of the dogs at the caravan site opposite the cottage - not much the cottage owners can do but it would put us off booking this cottage again :(

  • "Had an amazing stay!"

This cottage was perfect for us & I'm sure we'll return. Everything felt so homely & the beds were so comfy which couldn't have ended our days any better! The hot tub & privacy were even better than we expected! Thank you for providing all the extra touches, milk etc, was such a lovely touch & started our break not having to rush straight out x

  • "Very comfortable property with great hot tub."

Was very relaxing overall, comfy beds, slight issue with heating was off on arrival but was sorted out quickly by maintainence man. Good comes from owner when texted. Would go again. Front door def needs a mat inside to put your shoes on to so stop carpet getting damaged or change the floor covering to make it more suitable for wet weather shoes and boots.

  • "We had an absolutely amazing holiday, our children were in their element with the hot tub and all the outdoor space, with the added extra of a stream to throw stones in which they spent hours doing !"

Our holiday was kindly gifted via a charity and we are so so grateful to you, all week it was a ‘pinch me’ we’re actually on holiday. We would love to come back one day. Oh also the main bedroom is out of this world ! Thanks again - The Robinson’s/ Minshull’s xx

  • "The cottage is beautiful."

However the neighbours not so much. Such a shame on the location of the cottage, however, if it was located elsewhere I would have given 10/10.

  • "The cottage is in a good location only spoilt by the dogs barking from the gypsy site opposite."

The dogs didn't bark every night but as we are light sleepers had to sleep in the smaller back bedroom and leave the bigger and nicer bedroom for our friends, who are heavy sleepers, who came later in the week. The cottage itself was nice and clean except for the chopping boards in the kitchen, which were covered in oil, as was the draw they were kept in but the hot tub was great.

  • "Gorgeous cottage and was exceptionally clean on our arrival."

The big bedroom is absolutely gorgeous. Hot tub is fab and its for use solely for the residents of Tulip Cottage. Location is good and its only a short walk down to Esholt (about 1/3 of a mile) and there is a nice pub (its actually the Woolpack from Emmerdale) and a short drive from Baildon which is a nice little place. The host (Haley) was really helpful when I informed her that one of the door locks wasn't working properly. All in all, a very enjoyable and relaxing stay in a nice cottage in a nice place with a great hot tub. What else could you ask for?

  • "An absolutely idyllic cottage in a lovely spot, especially for walking the dog straight from the door."

The cottage is gorgeous and decorated to a very high standard. The master bed is to die for! What let’s this cottage down is the noise from the dogs. If previous tenants haven’t had a problem then they were very very lucky. Sadly we were there for a full week and were staying there because my brother lives in the village but our dogs don’t get along. The travellers dogs directly opposite weren’t a problem in the day it was night time that was just awful. Barking loudly from the ‘pack’ of dogs until around 11.30 midnight then most nights an absolute cacophony of howling, barking and yelping anytime between 01.30 and 03.30 certainly does not allow for a restful stay. I liaised with the owner who offered to move us to another property but it wouldn’t have worked re distance to coming and going to see my brother. I understood that secondary glazing was going to be fitted but they were apparently still waiting on that. We have two properties one of which has triple glazing and the other having secondary glazing and I can tell you now, it won’t help the situation in this case. A wonderful cottage spoiled by its neighbours.

  • "The cottage itself was clean on the surface ,couldn't use the cooker it was filthy needs attention to detail when cleaning like the cooker and all the cob webs off ceilings ,hot tub was the only great thing, loud music till early hours 4 nights ,dogs howling at 3 am, was near a gypsy campsite which was fine until,Halloween had kids banging in windows, then at 11."

30 am Thur was woke up by loud bangs kids running away, got up Thur morning cottage windows been egged and so had our car windows ,so we came home so sad by this all experience

Thank you for your feedback. We pride ourselves on the highest standards of cleanliness. We provided a refund for the unexpected evening noise due to a local wedding. We would like to apologise for the Halloween mischief. Property Owner

  • "We had a wonderful relaxing week at Tulip Cottage and I'm finding it very difficult to fault it."

I most certainly recommend it! The furniture and the beds are extremely comfortable and the carpet is lush. It's one of those that your feet sink into to. It's very luxurious and done to a high standard. The hot tub is clean, fully working and just wonderful for star gazing in on a clear night. We also had a fire going in the adjacent garden under the full moon and it was wonderful. Also, the hamper of goodies on arrival is really top notch! The bacon was so tasty. In reference to the existing feedback of the dogs across the way, yes you can hear them, but it's not all of the time and it didn't bother us at all. I also think that because it is mentioned here, you're looking out for it when you arrive, so it's a catch 22 situation really. I think it's best that people are made aware of it via feedback but please don't let it put you off as you will miss out on a wonderful stay.

  • "Such a lovely cottage which was very clean and cosy the host was prompt with communication and dropping some requested fire logs round."

There is some dogs local which barked at times but it’s the countryside so wether it’s a cockerel or dogs is expected by us. Will definitely revisit as we could really relax after a day out walking.

  • "Firstly, the cottage is gorgeously decorated to a really high standard whoever did it has a good eye for design, the welcome pack was perfect and we settled in immediately, we had no problems with using any of facilites ie hot-tub, log burner, appliances, showers etc."

We had no problems with the wifi and with 2 teenagers we were all using it, we had lovely weather so had a bbq, and Tulip Cottage is just far enough away from the quiet road to not be bothered by the walkers and cyclists that like to use it. It's 15 mins walk to the pubs, Woolpack & Halfway House, both dog friendly. Early in our stay I sent a text about a change of bathroom towels and recieved a reply immediately and fresh towels were delivered early the next day. People have commented before about the dogs on the site opposite, yes they bark and a bit in the night, but after a couple of days you get used to it just like the cockrels and chickens you can hear, the owner said they plan to replace the window/glass to sound proof a bit better but it didn't bother us too much. We really enjoyed our time at Tulip Cottage.
