From here, the flow leads naturally into the beamed sitting room, where mullioned windows frame the landscape beyond.

Acting as a gateway to the Yorkshire Dales National Park and the North York Moors National Park, you can use this town as a base for exploring the countryside beyond. At the heart of the mill town, you will find two rivers and two canals, as well as a large selection of places to eat and drink. On the Wharf, there are a number of places to dine with stunning waterside views or choose to sample award-winning Indian food at Kipling’s restaurant, you are sure to find something to suit all here. Whilst here, choose to soak up the scenery with a walk along the Calder and Hebble Navigation, promising to be a rural and peaceful route or there is the Rochdale Canal, which runs for 33 miles making a great cycling opportunity. Just a short distance away from here is the charming market town of Halifax, which is home to some of Yorkshire’s most famous landmarks, including the Minster, Dean Clough, Shibden Hall and the Piece Hall, as well as the splendid Halifax Borough Market; there is so much on offer in this town.
