The property

Centenary Cottage is a charming pet-friendly property in the town of Skipton, based in North Yorkshire.

This cottage is perfect for a couple or a family with two children, as it boasts a gas fire, countryside views to admire from the south-facing patio, and is a short walk to a pub for a drink out.

Step foot into your new holiday base after parking outside on the cobbled drive.

Be the first to claim the armchair or sink into the sofa in the sitting room.

Moving into the kitchen and dining room, you will find a modern AGA range cooker, which will give the group's chef a huge smile.

Make something tasty and plate it up on the dining table to bring everyone together.

Share some laughs as you tuck into dinner, then head outside to bask in the sun and wash it down with a favourite drink.

Once you have watched the sun turn the sky into a warm orange colour before the stars come out, head back inside.

Warm up by the gas fire before flicking on the Smart TV to find something to watch for some evening entertainment.

If you fancy some competitive fun, then pick out one of the games; if you want some quiet time, then choose one of the books from the selection.

If you are caught stifling a yawn, then head upstairs for some rest.

Put the little ones to sleep in the bunk room before heading off to dreamland in the king-size bed.

In the mornings, start your day off just right with a refreshing shower.

A pub is a short walk away for a drink out, with a shop a short drive away for any essentials.

In Skipton, explore the historical Skipton Castle, enjoy some interactive exhibits at the Craven Museum & Gallery or take a stroll through the Skipton Castle Woods.

Head towards Cowling to get the adrenaline pumping at High Adventure Outdoor Education Centre, venture to Keighley to view the sights around Cliffe Castle or go to Bronte Waterfall for a rewarding walk.

Slightly further afield in Malham, be sure to seek out the beauty in Malham Cove, go for a lakeside stroll in the Malham Tarn Estate National Trust or go on some nature trails in Kilnsey Park.

All this and more awaits you on holiday at Centenary Cottage.

SKIPTON

Grassington 9 miles; Harrogate 20 miles.

Known as “The Gateway to the Dales”, Skipton is well placed for visiting all that the Dales has to offer, whilst York, the Lake District and the West Coast are also within easy motoring distance. This lovely market town has much to interest the enthusiastic visitor, boasting an ancient castle open to the public, a beautiful old parish church and a colourful market occupying the cobbled setts each side of the high street. In 2014, The Sunday Times named Skipton as Britain's "best place to live" and two years later placed it among the nine best towns in Yorkshire and the North-East. Steam railways with regular excursions are available at Embsay and Bolton Abbey, and the Leeds to Liverpool Canal passes through Skipton with the 1 mile long Foulridge Tunnel and the 5-rise locks at Bingley within a short travel. Golf, swimming, squash, tennis and snooker are all available locally and the excellent public transport means the car can be left at home!
