1 Customer Review

  • "The Peak View, Holmfirth provides excellent accommodation for its guests."

The house is very spacious and comfortable with every convenience you could wish for. It is spotlessly clean and the heating system keeps you warm and cosy even in the chilly months. The garden is compact but is fully enclosed so that your dog can be let out without worry. There are ample walks nearby and the local pub is very welcoming. If you want an elegant up-market holiday let with an excellent view over the hills, you'll be hard pressed to find a better one.

Dear John and family Thank you so much for taking the time to leave such a fantastic 5-star review! We are absolutely thrilled to hear that you had an excellent stay at The Peak View and that you found the property spacious, perfectly clean, and wonderfully cosy. It is incredibly rewarding to know you enjoyed the beautiful views over the hills and that the local pub and nearby walks were a hit! We also want to extend a huge thank you to you for being such wonderful guests. You treated our home with the utmost respect, followed all the house rules, and left the property impeccably tidy. We were also delighted to host your dog, who was incredibly well-behaved and a joy to have. We would be absolutely delighted to welcome you—and your furry friend—back for another getaway anytime. Thank you again for choosing to stay with us! Warm regards, Ajay & Monica Property Owner

Sitting right on the fringe of the Peak District National Park, it’s the kind of place where the landscape instantly draws you in—wide skies, sweeping hills, and a sense of space that feels wonderfully grounding.

As you enter, the house opens up around you with an immediate feeling of generosity.

The lounge is designed for gathering, soft lighting, big sofas, and a cinema-style TV where you can settle into a film together.

The sunroom quickly becomes everyone’s favourite spot, with its wrap-around views that change with every hour of the day.

Sunrises spill across the hills, evenings glow golden, and even a rainy afternoon has its charm as you watch the weather sweep across the valley.

The kitchen is built for feeding a group with ease, featuring a double oven, electric induction hob, microwave, dishwasher, and plenty of space for everyone to move about without bumping elbows.

A separate utility room keeps the practical bits neatly tucked away.

Upstairs, four beautifully finished bedrooms await with a super-king-size room with an en-suite and TV; a stylish king-size, a welcoming double, and a twin room with two single beds for added flexibility.

Little ones will love their own dedicated den, filled with books, board games, and a TV, giving them a place to settle into their own adventures.

A modern family bathroom and a handy cloakroom complete the layout.

Step outside and the countryside is right there at your feet.

You can wander along quiet lanes, take your bike straight from the door, or simply pause and breathe in the view.

Hade Edge village offers something to offer to everyone's taste - there are beautiful walks right from the property itself, Holme Styes reservoir walk is a brilliant option.

You can choose to venture out a bit further to go for a walk along Winscar reservoir or choose to bike along Dunford Bridge to Penistone trail.

If going with kids, look out for the magic fairy garden along the trail.

If you want to have a relaxed evening, the Boshaw Trout pub is walkable from the property and offers a range of ales and good food.

There is an old quarry close to the property which is popular with mountain bikers but also good fun with kids to explore.

Hade Edge also had a Brass band and information about upcoming events can be found on their Facebook page or on the notice board outside the Band room.
