Spring Cottage is a charming retreat situated in the picturesque village of Husthwaite, North Yorkshire.

Upon entering the cottage, you will be greeted by a well-equipped kitchen, and the adjacent dining room, complete with seating for four, provides a welcoming space to enjoy meals together.

The sitting room, with its inviting seating and TV, offers a snug spot to unwind after a day of exploring the local area.

When it is time to retire for the night, the cottage boasts two double bedrooms (one double size and one twin), both decorated with a touch of elegance to ensure a rejuvenating night's rest.

The property also benefits from a stylish shower room, complete with a walk-in shower and heated towel rail, ensuring you can start each day refreshed and ready for exciting adventures.

The Howardian Hills AONB also provides a gateway to numerous picturesque cycle routes including national route 65, or Yearsley woods and Dalby Forest for off-road adventures.

Venture out of the comfort of Spring Cottage, and there are many attractions in the area to visit, including Newby Hall, Castle Howard, Reivaulx and Byland Abbey, Newburgh Priory and Shandy Hall, the latter being located in the quaint nearby Village of Coxwold. A trip to the medieval walled city of York, to explore the world famous Minster, the National Railway Museam and the JORVIK Viking Centre, is highly recommended.

Alternatively, the cottage is well placed to visit the popular coastal towns of Whitby and Scarborough on the East Coast, or venture west to the unforgettable Yorkshire Dales National Park.

Close by are several award-winning restaurants and pubs, including Tommy Banks’ The Black Swan at Oldstead, The Abbey Inn at Byland or Roots, York.

Easingwold 3 miles; Thirsk 6 miles; York 17 miles.

The small historic village of Husthwaite lies on the edge of the North York Moors National Park, overlooking the Vale of York. Picturesque and peaceful, the village is a perfect introduction to "Herriot Country", a beautiful old Norman church, many fine old houses and an active village hall hosting many events throughout the year. The nearby White Horse of Kilburn, cut out of the hillside in 1857, is a prominent local landmark. The lovely market town of Easingwold is nearby, boasting a pretty market square and a good selection of shops, pubs and cafes, whilst York with its famous Minster, medieval walls and Jorvik Viking Centre, is a short drive away. The Yorkshire Dales and the North York Moors and Coast are also within easy touring distance and are rich in stately homes and National Trust attractions - Harewood House and Castle Howard are just two of several within an hour's drive.
