The property

Ripon 6.1 miles.

Nestled in the quiet village of Sawley resting on the edge of the Nidderdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty is this charmingly-appointed detached cottage, lying opposite the village green, with children's playground, and near to an award-winning pub, The Sawley Arms.

Suited to two couples seeking a country break with countryside all around, The Green has been decorated with a stylish yet homely interior, creating a welcoming environment for you to wind down in.

Take in your quaint surroundings before heading inside through the enclosed front patio, before stepping into the lovely sitting room, where an open fire sits before a contemporary selection of soft seating, with a Smart TV with a BT package to entertain.

Relax within this tranquil space with a rich colour scheme of blue, brown and natural wood, all complimented by the slate-style flooring, before heading into the kitchen/diner, where you can enjoy cooking for the rest of the party with a wealth of appliances to assist you.

While a bottle of wine is opened around the dining table, watch as the food simmers on the electric hob with an electric oven, fridge/freezer and dishwasher among the rest of the appliances at your fingertips.

On warm days, head out onto your own private patio to sit in the last warmth of the evening, also finding an external utility room that can be used for storing bikes and has a washing machine and a tumble dryer.

Completing the ground floor is the neat cloakroom with a basin and WC, and a delightful double bedroom providing an excellent sleeping spot.

Travel up the stairs to find a second bedroom with a king-size bed, as well as an armchair here for you to curl up in with a book for a quiet moment.

Freshen up in the elegant bathroom with marble-effect tiles surrounding the bath with a shower over, enjoy a hot shower before grabbing your towel nicely warmed by the heated towel rail in here.

Take walks around the area heading down to the National Trust's Brimham Rocks, with unique rock formations lying over 400-acres of moorland, as well as paying a visit to the Nidderdale Llamas and taking part in a walk with a new furry friend, with the incentive of returning to The Sawley Arms for a hearty pub dinner to end the day.

The monastic ruins of the medieval Fountains Abbey are a beautiful sight resting on riverside of the River Skell, while just further along is Surprise View and Anne Boleyn's Seat, a fabulous viewpoint for some far-reaching views of the area and fabulous photo opportunities.

The city of Ripon is a haven of historical insights, with the amazing Ripon Cathedral showcasing some expert medieval architecture, the Workhouse Museum displaying what life was like for the average Joe in Victorian times, and even a Prison & Police Museum with hands-on displays and costume reenactments of a 19th century prison.

Amongst the history and culture are a great many restaurants, bars and cafés before you to grab some delicious food and drink.

Just ten miles from The Green is the thrilling Lightwater Valley Theme Park featuring rollercoasters and rides designed to get your adrenaline pumping, as well as a farm animal section and falconry, it offers an exciting day out for all.

Further afield take a trip to the historic market town of Knaresborough with the Mother Shiptons cave and York with it's famous Minster.

Relish a rural retreat in North Yorkshire, spending quality time with your loved ones at The Green.
