  • "This property had all the facilities one looks for in a cottage."

Comfortable and a home from home. Surroundings were beautiful. The only comment I would make which the owner would have no control over is cars speeding through the village which is clearly marked 30 mph The council need to put in speed bumps like many villages in France to combat this behaviour from inconsiderate motorists. • "Beautiful cottage, tastefully decorated and very well equipped."

Super comfortable beds, very friendly local pub with great food. Lovely circular walks from the doorstep. Great communication from Patrick and he even checked we were OK after a night of storm Arwen. Thoughtful gift left for our arrival was a welcome touch too. I decided I could actually live there! Only addition would be a curtain over the front door for privacy and draught Fantastic Indian (eat in or take out) in Ripon - Moti Raj

  • "We enjoyed our stay in this comfortable cottage and it was a good deal roomier than we expected from photos of the frontage."

Underfloor heating and a lovely big kitchen were a boon when it was a rainy day. A friendly owner whose welcome gift was much appreciated.

  • "Absolutely brilliant cottage."

We really felt like we were treated as guests rathet than just paying customers, and it was the thoughtfull little things like having fresh bars of good soap in each bathroom, a welcome basket of goodies and homely things that make a difference like potted plants around the house and egg cups in the kitchen (cottages in our experience never have egg cups!). It all made a huge difference on one day of the holiday when we wre utterly rained out. Would stay here again anytime!

  • "The cottage was maintained to a very high standard and was extremely comfortable."

Despite having no off road parking, the convenience of the village green opposite did not prove a problem. Also, convenient was the local hostelry which provided delicious meals and even a takeaway service. The geographical location of the accommodation meant that the splendour of the Yorkshire dales was within easy access. We enjoyed an extremely pleasant break in this delightful cottage.
