Furniture and fittings were to a verythema high standard. The modern design worked really well. It was light and spacious. Reminded us ofor something you might see in Grand Designs. We loved the hot tub and good way to relax.

Jacobs Wood

Two contemporary barn conversions completed in 2018, mirroring each other in design and quality but offering complete privacy for that rural get away. Set within over 35 acres of the owners private land and deciduous woodland, with waterfalls, footpaths and bridleways literally on your doorstep. Perfect for nature lovers and walkers but only a short journey to the small town of Silsden with its amenities and easy access to the Yorkshire Dales National Park and Bronte Country. Wrapped in countryside views, away from the hustle and bustle, you can truly escape into the idyllic surroundings of the retreats. Presented with contemporary comfortable furnishings the open-plan living areas welcome the outside in, with picture windows over looking the rural landscape - a wonderful backdrop to admire as you go about your day. Both lounge's are completed by woodburning stove's to warm those cooler nights and the modern L-shaped kitchens are thoughtfully put together. As the night draws in, you will look forward to snuggling up in one of the neutral, calming bedrooms, each coordinated with lovely Egyptian cotton bed linen and their own Smart TV. A walk-in shower room finishes the properties to an immaculate standard. Once you have relaxed indoors, why not spend an hour or two enjoying the private patio areas with their genuine Swedish wood fired hot tubs, ideal for a sunny afternoon, or some quiet time under the stars.

The property

This warm and inviting semi-detached barn conversion on the edge of the woods brings you the best of the countryside and is only a short distance away from Silsden, Skipton, Haworth and beautiful Bolton Abbey.

With its own private Swedish wood fired hot tub, you will be spoilt for choice between relaxing surrounded by nature, or cosying up indoors in front of the woodburning stove.

The picture windows make the most of the views of the woodland and Yorkshire countryside from the open-plan living area.

However you spend your day, walking, visiting Yorkshires historic sites or busy market towns the evenings can be spent taking in the tranquil scenery, followed by a good night's sleep in one of the contemporary styled and comfortable bedrooms. The modern shower room completes Ash Bank, presented with a white suite and large walk shower.

About the location

Bolton Abbey 8.5 miles; Ilkley 8.5 miles; Skipton 9 miles.

The pretty town of Silsden, set on the edge of the stunning Yorkshire Dales National Park, commands sweeping views of the River Aire and its valley, and has a thriving community with local amenities. Although Silsden was originally an agricultural town, the construction of the nearby Leeds and Liverpool Canal meant that it later became an important centre for the mill industry, however the local economy is now largely supported by tourism, and it has become a perfect place to stay and explore the local area. Down the Aire Valley lies historic Skipton, known as “The Gateway to the Dales”, a quaint market town boasting an ancient castle open to the public, a beautiful old parish church and a colourful market occupying the cobbled setts each side of the high street. In 2008, the Academy of Urbanism voted the high street as the best shopping spot in Britain. In the next valley lies Addingham, a thriving, small community with several good pubs serving fine ale and excellent food, a scattering of small shops and a delightful golf course surrounded by breathtaking countryside. Nearby Bolton Abbey is one of the region's most scenic areas and the walk along the river to the Strid is a must. The Victorian Spa town of Ilkley is also worth a visit, with its wide streets, world-famous Box Tree Restaurant and Bettys Tea Rooms, while Ilkley Moor is the subject of Yorkshire's unofficial anthem “On Ilkla Moor Baht at”. With steam railways offering regular excursions through stunning scenery, canal day trips, castles and pretty market towns all available nearby, Silsden is a wonderful base for touring the Bronte Country and North and West Yorkshire.
