The property

Watermill Cottage is a barn conversion situated on the west side of the A1, in North Charlton, an excellent touring base from which to explore Northumberland and its magnificent countryside surroundings.

Equally perfect for couples or friends, Watermill Cottage is a beautiful place to stay, with fabulous furnishings and a home-from-home feel throughout.

Arrive in the kitchen, where you will be greeted by the lovely welcome pack, a chance to settle down and take in the delightful interior with refreshments to enjoy.

Granite counter-tops offset the layout perfectly, down-lighters rest above, and a coffee maker is on hand too.

Continuing through the property, a cosy lounge awaits, with a woodburning stove to bring warmth to those cooler nights.

Underfloor heating present throughout the ground floor.

The dining table is adjacent to French windows, leading out to the rear garden and patio area, letting in lots of natural light to the room.

Two bedrooms are located upstairs, each beautifully designed with A-frame beams, bedside tables, lamps, and a chest of drawers, to uphold the feel of the interior.

The master bedroom is a 6'0 Super king and the second guestroom is a 5'0 king size.

The bathroom matches that of a hotel standard, immaculately presented with both a bath and a shower.

At the front of the cottage is an enclosed, gravelled garden, whilst at the rear is a small lawned garden, paved patio with table and chairs, accessed from the French windows leading out from the lounge.

The rear garden is west-facing, so it makes the most of the pretty Northumbrian sunsets.

In Bamburgh, explore the iconic cliff-top castle and soak in incredible coastal vistas that stretch endlessly across the North Sea.

Just along the coast, Seahouses offers lively boat trips to the Farne Islands, where puffins and seals bring the landscape to life.

Beadnell is perfect for watersports enthusiasts, with sheltered bays ideal for paddleboarding and windsurfing, while its sweeping shoreline invites peaceful evening strolls.

Head inland to Alnwick to discover its grand castle, famed gardens and vibrant market town charm.

Meanwhile, Embleton boasts serene sandy expanses and scenic walks along the coastline, leading you toward Dunstanburgh Castle with panoramic views at every turn..

Watermill Cottage has all you need for a unique holiday experience.
