The property

1 Rowes Cottages is a captivating Grade II listed coastal retreat, brimming with character and history, set just moments from the beach in Porthgwarra.

Nestled in a peaceful setting, this beautifully preserved fisherman's cottage offers a warm and inviting escape for up to six guests.

Every corner of this home reflects timeless craftsmanship, from the exposed beams to the glowing woodburning stoves that bring a sense of charm and authenticity.

Step into the inviting sitting room, where rustic beams frame the ceiling and the woodburning stove takes centre stage, creating a welcoming atmosphere for evenings spent together on the sofas watching the Smart TV.

The adjoining kitchen/diner blends heritage with modern convenience, featuring an electric oven and hob, Belfast sink, fridge, dishwasher, and a second woodburning stove.

It’s a wonderful space to gather around the dining table, sharing food and conversation as the fire flickers beside you.

A ground-floor utility room with a washing machine and a cloakroom with WC adds extra practicality.

Upstairs, you’ll find three tastefully appointed bedrooms to choose from.

Two tranquil king-size bedrooms, and a twin room are all thoughtfully styled to echo the cottage’s historic charm.

The family bathroom offers a bath, walk-in shower, basin, and WC, complete with underfloor heating for added comfort.

Outside, the garden invites you to soak up the scenery, with chairs positioned on the top terrace to enjoy sweeping sea views.

A gate here opens onto a path that leads straight to the coastal footpath, perfect for spontaneous seaside strolls.

It’s the perfect spot for morning coffee or evening drinks.

There’s also off-road parking for two cars.

PORTHGWARRA

Sennen 3 miles; Land's End 4.1 miles; Penzance 12 miles.

Porthgwarra is a small hamlet on the South coast East of Lands End. Most of the properties in the Cove date back to the late 1800’s and the Cove has remained relatively unchanged since then. It is in easy walking distance along the Coastal Footpath to the world famous Minack Theatre and close to the Telegraph Museum (PK Porthcurno Museum of Global Communications). Porthgwarra is ideal for exploring all that West Cornwall has to offer including Lamorna, St Just, Mousehole, and Penzance. More recently the Cove has been used for film locations, most notably The Poldark series. A lovely base for your Cornwall adventure.
