The property

Cedar Barn is a pleasing pet-friendly house resting near the town of Evesham in Worcestershire.

Offering a peaceful base for families and friends looking to explore the nearby Cotswolds AONB, boasting countryside views, underfloor heating on the ground floor and an enclosed garden.

Pass through the gated entrance and onto the gravelled drive, where Cedar Barn stands proudly within a third of an acre of enclosed garden, surrounded by open countryside and clad in warm timber that hints at the character within.

For those arriving in an electric vehicle, a charger is available, while ample space ensures parking is straightforward for all guests.

Step inside and feel the gentle warmth of underfloor heating beneath your feet as you enter the open-plan living space, where exposed beams stretch overhead and natural light pours in.

The kitchen is thoughtfully arranged to support relaxed self-catering, with everything from an air fryer to a coffee maker ready to help you prepare anything from a quick breakfast to a celebratory supper.

As the scent of something delicious fills the air, gather around the dining table to share stories and laughter.

Afterwards, sink into the plush sofa or armchair in the sitting area, where carefully chosen artwork adds character and a Smart TV and electric fire invite you to unwind.

A cloakroom with WC and heated towel rail is tucked away on the ground floor, while upstairs, two restful bedrooms await.

The king-size room is a peaceful retreat with countryside views framed by Velux windows, complete with electric shutters and a striking apex-shaped timber frame around the Juliette balcony.

In the twin room, you’ll wake to views of both the Malvern Hills and Bredon Hill in the distance, a gentle reminder of the beauty that surrounds you.

A sleek shower room with walk-in enclosure, basin and WC completes the first floor.

Back outside, the enclosed garden offers a peaceful spot for morning coffee or evening barbecues, with a patio and gravelled area perfect for alfresco dining.

Children and dogs can roam freely, while the nearby River Avon invites riverside walks and wildlife spotting.

When it’s time to explore, you’ll find yourself well placed for a day at Broadway Tower, where panoramic views stretch across sixteen counties, a climb to the top reveals a fascinating history, and the surrounding deer park offers a tranquil stroll.

In Stratford-upon-Avon, immerse yourself in the world of Shakespeare with a visit to his birthplace, a performance at the Royal Shakespeare Theatre, and a gentle boat trip along the River Avon.

Or head to the elegant spa town of Cheltenham, where you can browse independent shops, admire Regency architecture, and sample local flavours at one of its many acclaimed eateries.

Cedar Barn offers a peaceful and well-positioned base for discovering the best of Worcestershire and the Cotswolds, with countryside charm, thoughtful touches and scenic surroundings at every turn.

EVESHAM

Stratford-upon-Avon 14 miles; Worcester 16 miles; Cheltenham 17 miles.

The pretty market town of Evesham lies within the Vale of Evesham, in a horseshoe of the River Avon, within driving distance of Worcester, Cheltenham and Stratford-upon-Avon. Evesham and the surrounding area is famous for its market gardening and the town has an array of individual shops, tea rooms, craft and antique shops, many traditional pubs, an Art Deco cinema and thriving arts centre. Steeped in history and mentioned in the Domesday Book, Evesham has a number of beautiful black and white timbered buildings, namely the 15th century merchants house in the Market Square, and the remains of Evesham Abbey are believed to date back to the 8th century. The area offers many lovely walks with Shakespeare’s Avon Way, Wychavon Way and The Heart of England Way all close by. Evesham Country Park is well worth a visit with an extensive garden centre, well-stocked farm shop, courtyard shops and restaurant, as well as a 130-acre estate criss-crossed with walks, or take a stroll up Bredon Hill home to an Iron Age Fort, Roman ramparts and numerous old standing stones all within the Cotswolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The nearby spa town of Malvern dates back to the Bronze Age, attracting plenty of visitors with its antique and craft fairs and auctions throughout the year, and the ancient cathedral city of Worcester, birthplace of Sir Edward Elgar is also close by.
