Gwyn Studio is a welcoming ground-floor pet-friendly apartment resting near Aberdare.

Ideal for friends or couples, this countryside abode features underfloor heating, Sky TV with movies and sport, and a small gym.

Set in the heart of fifteen private acres near Bannau Brycheiniog National Park, Gwyn Studio welcomes you with the gentle hush of the river and the soft rustle of trees.

A dedicated off-road parking space makes arrival easy, and the communal garden area with outdoor seating offers a moment to pause—perhaps with a flask of coffee or a breath of fresh valley air—before heading inside. Push open the front door and enter the open-plan living space, where wooden flooring flows beneath your feet and a rustic stone wall adds texture and warmth to the interior.

The kitchen beckons with its clean lines and practical layout.

You might pop the kettle on or reach for the air fryer to rustle up something quick after your journey.

The induction hob and microwave stand ready for more ambitious meals, while the fridge with an ice box keeps your essentials fresh.

As the scent of dinner fills the space, the dining table becomes a natural gathering spot, with soft lighting casting a gentle glow over evening conversations.

After a day exploring the valleys, sink into the plush seating in the sitting area and flick through Sky’s movie or sports channels, or simply unwind with a good book and a cup of tea.

The underfloor heating keeps things toasty underfoot, making it a perfect year-round retreat.

When it’s time to turn in, the twin beds promise a restful night’s sleep, tucked away in a peaceful corner of the studio.

The adjoining shower room features a walk-in shower, basin and WC, offering a clean and contemporary space to freshen up before bed or after a countryside ramble.

Outside, the shared garden space invites you to linger.

As the morning mist lifts, sip your coffee while birdsong drifts through the trees.

In the evening, a crisp glass pairs perfectly with the fading light and the scent of earth after rain.

For those who like to stay active, the small on-site gym offers a chance to stretch and recharge before the next adventure.

A short stroll brings you to the local shop and a welcoming pub, while the stream is just moments away for a peaceful wander.

Aberdare is a town in the Cyon Valley area of Rhondda Cyon Taf, Wales, which dates from the middle ages. During the 19th century it became a thriving industrial settlement, which was also notable for the vitality of its cultural life and as an important publishing centre. By the middle of the 15th century, the town contained a water mill in addition to a number of thatched cottages, of which no evidence remains. The original parish church of St John the Baptist was originally built in 1189. Some of its original architecture is still intact. Aberdare is home to a number of parks including Dare Valley Country Park which is all set in 500 acres of the beautiful Welsh countryside and has plenty to offer, from walks to outdoor activities to local pubs for some lovely home made food. Aberdare also has a famous indoor market with a range of stalls, from antique shops to fruit and veg to Welsh cakes to clothing. It is an important part of this town's shopping culture.
