  • "Lovely stay at Whitesands."

The cottage is in a great location and is clean and comfortable. There are a few items that would be helpful in the kitchen - scissors, potato peeler, spatula and oven gloves. The bin which was positioned at the top of the drive wasn’t emptied so that might make it difficult for the next customers as it was full. These are minor points but overall a very nice stay. Thank you

Thank you for your review. We’re so pleased you enjoyed your stay at Whitesands and appreciated the location, cleanliness and comfort of the cottage. Thank you also for your helpful suggestions. We’ve already added the kitchen items you mentioned, and we’re sorry the outside bin wasn’t emptied in time. Unfortunately, this was due to a missed collection (due to vehicles blocking access) but we’ve since emptied it to ensure it’s ready for our next guests. We appreciate your feedback and hope to welcome you back to Whitesands in the future. Richard & Jane Property Owner

  • "Lovely spacious accommodation which was perfect for our family holiday."

The large kitchen was well stocked with utensils, baking dishes, pans, glasses & crockery and there was plenty of space to cook together easily. We missed having an air fryer & potato peeler but apart from that the kitchen had everything we needed. The bathrooms were good sized & the lounge was great for cosy evenings in. The beds were really comfy & the pillows were super soft. Ample parking for 3 cars. We would have liked a washing line to dry off our swimming gear but made do with the airer. The location to the beach & shop was ideal & also great to walk along the beach to both Seahouses & Little Newton. All in all I would highly recommend this property, it was a perfect home & base for our family holiday.

Thank you so much for your kind review. We’re delighted you and your family enjoyed your stay. We also appreciate your helpful suggestions and will certainly take them into consideration. We hope to welcome you back again soon! Thanks Richard & Jane Property Owner

Where you’ll be staying

BEADNELL

Seahouses 1.5 miles; Bamburgh 5 miles.

This attractive and peaceful harbour village is situated beside one of the most beautiful stretches of Northumberland’s Heritage Coastline - Beadnell Bay. Established in Saxon times, Beadnell was once an important fishing village and a smuggler's haven. Nowadays, it is still a fishing village, but is equally popular with holidaymakers who come to enjoy its pretty harbour and, of course, the nearby sandy beaches. The village has a shop, two pubs and a café serving food. Popular Seahouses is just over a mile away and has shops, a supermarket and restaurants, and it also offers boat trips from the harbour to the magnificent Farne Islands - a haven for bird watchers. Bamburgh is close by, whilst the market town of Alnwick with its Castle and Gardens, shops, pubs and restaurants is a short drive away.
