  • "Just come back from a lovely 4 night stay in Ty Coch."

    It is a cute little property with stunning views all around. Ideal location if you want to get away from everything and enjoy nothing but the sounds of nature. Good facilities with everything we needed. It is also a great base for travelling to several beaches etc near by. The hot tub was a nice treat, especially under a sky full of stars. A big thank you to Owen and Lola! You have a gorgeous little place there!

  • "A lovely remote location, which, if you want peace and quiet, is ideal."

    The place was as described and easy to find with everything that you needed for a comfortable stay. The weather was not always good, and being in an elevated location, it felt a few degrees colder than the coast, where when the cloud came down you couldn't see much of at all, but when clear, the views were incredible. A few bits needed tidying up, like the bolt on the gate and some of the lifting paving, but it didn't detract from the loveliness of the cottage or location.

    Be very aware of it as I fell down it twice. I believe the listing has now been adjusted to cover this. The interior of the unit is NOT all one level

    Absolutely amazing views from the new electric hot tub look up at snow covered Yr Wyddfa (snowdon) down to Barmouth and back over to abersoch If you want peace and quiet and a secluded property this is the place didn’t see anyone all week Don’t worry about the reviews about the potholes as we have a low car Honda civic and was no problem just go slow

  • "This is actually our second visit to Ty Coch on Brinmiod farm."

    We liked it so much last year that we decided to come again and it did not disappoint. In fact, it was even better than last year. The thing I continue to love best, and while I’ll probably be booking here again, is the peace, quiet and solitude. Most places you try to book claim they are secluded but often there are nearby neighbours or you’re overlooked by the owner’s property or it’s secretly an annex or a row of lodges or something. But not at Ty Coch. They have been very sensitive and clever with the placement of cottages on their property. The working farm is vast and surrounded by rugged stunning and truly panoramic natural views. From Ty Coch, I cannot see nor hear any of the other holiday homes on the land. The owners have been so expertly tactful in their placement and in tune with how to position them without spoiling the landscape or encroaching on one another in any way. I really hope if they expand that they keep this in mind with their property placement as it’s a rare find for that level of privacy with such breathtaking rolling views. Now, the other amazing surprise was the hot tub. Last year it was a wood fired hot tub and while I do love that style for its old world feel, they can be a chore, especially as my partner and I holiday in the deep winter of January when the weather is coldest and most unpredictable. They take two hours to heat and one can’t control the temperature which makes dodging rain and wind to get in a true strategic feat. Still I love them all the same and honestly most secluded Welsh properties have a wood fired one. So imagine my delighted shock when we pull up and they’ve replaced it with an electric tub. At first I was sceptical but gosh what a pleasure it was to simply step outside and step into perfectly temperatures water at every break in the weather. It really enhanced our holiday and then the enjoyment of the lights in the hot tub at night was so much fun. I was so happy I didn’t want to leave. My partner and I holiday for privacy, coziness, nice views and board games, so we barely leave the cottage on our holiday so we spent the full 7 days there only leaving to buy more food. So we really can give an honest impression of how lovely this cottage is. It’s a converted barn and effortlessly balances that rustic appeal with modern convenience. It is spotless when we arrive. Smart tv, underfloor heating, waterfall shower. They always leave Presseco and real roses for us, which is so romantic. We actually don’t drink but the thought means so much. It’s fully self catered, which for us is essential due to health conditions. Extra little things I love are the wood burning stove, very romantic, the fact that even though it’s a luxurious waterfall shower, it also has the handheld type which makes cleaning easier. Love that consideration of the combo. And the fairy lights they strung up on the fence and the cute sheep we can wave to. This place is perfect for couples who love privacy. An ideal romantic escape. Hats off to the owners for getting it so right.

  • "The accommodation was in a quiet location up a long road/track."

    The road does have quite a lot of potholes which need fixing. A lovely barn conversion with a patio suited us perfectly, however a few things needed maintenance and the wasn’t as clean as we expected. Only used the log burning hot tub once as it took 5-6 hours and constant logs to get anywhere near hot enough to get in. All in all the cottage was nice with amazing views which made for an amazing week with access to loads of coastal walks.

Trefor 2.9 miles.Ty Coch Bron Miod is nestled on the outskirts of the small village of Llanaelhaearn, Caernarfon, as a rustic barn conversion.

Positioned centrally to both the coast and countryside, this single-storey dwelling is the perfect place for a couple to enjoy a romantic getaway and explore Wales and the beauty it has to offer.

Stepping through the property, you're welcomed into the light and airy open-plan living space, boasting a contemporary kitchen, whilst exposed wooden beams retain the traditional character of the barn.

Here you can look forward to snuggling up on the sofa with a good film in front of the TV with your significant other after enjoying an intimate meal together around the dining table, toasting to a wonderful holiday.

Why not head outside to the well-presented patio area and let your four legged friend stretch their legs whilst you enjoy a spot of al fresco dining with a sparkling glass of prosecco followed by a dip in the electric hot tub, soaking in the fantastic views surrounding you?

As the evening grows darker, return inside to wash away the day in the modern bathroom, fitted with a spacious walk-in shower, basin and WC, before escaping to the double bedroom to put your feet up and rest your eyes to ready yourself for another exciting day of exploring.

Llanaelhaearn is a stone's throw away from the fishing village of Trefor, where you can take an evening off cooking and enjoy a meal made with locally sourced ingredients at Bert's Kitchen Garden or enjoy a tipple with view at the local pub.

Trefor is home to the national forest of Coed Elerinon, where you can enjoy a tranquil walk through meadows and woodlands or for those more adventurous, take the trek to the top of Cei Trefor where views from the summit, on a clear day, extend to Ireland, the whole of Cardigan Bay, Anglesey, Eryri (Snowdonia), and the northern mountains of England.

If that's not really your thing then jump in the car and travel a few miles further to the seaside town of Nefyn, where you will find a selection of bars and restaurants to choose from after working up an appetite enjoying a day at the beach, playing a round of golf or discovering the local history at Amgueddfa Forwrol Llŷn Maritime Museum.

However you decide to spend your holiday, Bron Miod Barn Conversion makes a lovely base to return to each evening and is one not to be missed.

The small village of Trefor is surrounded by sea and mountains, overlooking Caernarfon Bay, and enjoys a harbour with stone breakwater pier and sheltered sandy beach that the Wales Coastal Path runs past, or the more adventurous can enjoy a regular surf outside the breakwater. The village benefits from a convenience store, Post Office and licensed social club. Nearby, in the village of Llithfaen, are the Welsh Language and Heritage Centre and restaurant. The pretty coastal town of Nefyn lies 7.5 miles away, sitting atop sweeping cliffs, and is home to a fine, two-mile stretch of sandy beach, along with a good selection of shops, pubs and restaurants, and the award-winning golf club is popular with families and couples alike. Trefor is also within reach of the amenities of the popular towns of Pwllheli, Abersoch, Caernarfon, Portmeirion and Bangor. The coastline around this region is dotted with castles and coves, while fishing, sailing and watersports are all available. The start of the Snowdonia National Park is 5 miles away, with its dramatic scenery and abundance of superb walks. With its proximity to such a wide range of destinations, this area makes a superb base for a break in North Wales.
