Well maintained and a lovely garden to enjoy.

  • "Great location, loved Maenporth and swanpool, as well as Falmouth all very close to property."

Property in quiet location, kitchen well stocked for preparing meals easily. Extra crockery and cutlery meant extremely practical even when dishwasher being used. Negative was the mattresses especially in twin and children's room. Highly recommend better mattresses, if these are changed would definitely stay again at this property.

we are sorry to hear of your disapointment of all single matteress as we have had no bad feedback since renewing them approx 18 months ago . Indeed the two in children room are designed for young children and as such may not feel right if slept in if slept in by older children or adults . We hope it did not spoil your stay Very Best Wishes Paul and Diane Property Owner

  • "Lovely well equipped house for 4 of us a short stroll from the lovely swan-pool beach in a lovely quiet area."

We used it as a base to explore Falmouth and surrounding areas. It’s approx 35 mins walk to the centre of Falmouth along the coast path. Beds are comfy, kitchen well equipped for self catering. The only thing I would change is the supply of a washing airer to dry washing. Thanks we will be back again.

Lovely house, well equipped. High chair and stair gate were an added bonus. Garden was fantastic for the kids and nice and safe. Good location, we managed to find plenty of things to do! We would definitely stay again.

  • "The property was spotless and the location was really good."

It was very comfortable and quiet but I think would benefit from blackout linings ( you can buy some that you simply hook onto the back of existing curtains) or blinds. As a pensioner I walked into the main part of Falmouth and got a bus on one of the circular routes back, free and worked really well!!

  • "Excellent base for a holiday in the Falmouth area!"

The house was clean, nicely decorated, and had mostly everything we needed for our break. It would have been helpful to have had a few more basic supplies provided like: washing up liquid, more than just the 2 dishwasher tablets, hand soap in the bathroom, plus there was no salt in the salt grinder, and maybe some cooking oil and extra loo rolls would have been useful. Otherwise, all really good and would be happy to stay again.

  • "It’s the second time we’ve stayed here."

Everything was as it should be apart from the sweeping damp in all the bedroom windows and it smelt damp when we came in. House was clean and very well equipped as it was the first time around but the damp was a bit of a problem. Even keeping windows open most of the day to keep fresh air in you could still smell the damp. I think the house it’s self it wonderful but we wouldn’t return purely because the damp hadn’t just got there over night it had built up over time that was overlooked. Also the new bedsheets in the double room and twin room felt like they had just come out of a packet, really stiff and not comfortable at all. I feel awful for writing this but I’m also in the tourist business myself and that wouldn’t happen on my watch. Sorry

Thank you for completing your feedback, we are sorry to hear of the issues you mentioned which are in stark contrast to all previous feedback received for this delightful property. We spoke with the owner who insists there was no mould present prior to your stay. The bed linen was indeed fairly new, however they had all been freshly laundered before your arrival. Very clean and comfortable. Kitchen very well stocked with everything you would need to self cater. Lovely location with easy access to local beaches and the lovely town of Falmouth which has lots of quirky shops and nice places to eat.

  • "We had a great stay at dragonflies and seahorses."

The house had everything you could possibly need for your holiday, including buckets and spades for the beach. The house was extremely clean and tidy with everything needed to maintain while your there. The garden is a great little added space, where my children enjoyed football and rhe trampoline. There's a lovely little path just over the road that is only a 10 minute walk to swanpool beach and a really nice sea food restaurant called Hooked on the Rocks. You can carry on along the coastal path as long as you want, if is beautiful. There's lots of things to do in the local area and lots of lovely restaurants. Thanks for a great holiday.

  • "A wonderful space both in and out, great to have use of a garage as had kayak and surfboards with us."

Very clean and lovely to arrive to makings for cream tea and a pint of milk. Smart TV allowed access to own entertainment channels which was nice on the evenings where we had no plans. Good basic provisions for clean comfortable stay downstairs. The master bedroom is a great size and deserves a bigger bed that and a little investment in better mattresses. The curtains are really inadequate for keeping light out, I would suggest some black out blinds in all rooms for those that prefer not to wake at first light on holiday. Sadly these are the two reasons we would not book again, or recommend despite such a lovely space. A medium size investment in a high quality King size or Super King size bed, good quality mattress and black out blinds would make this place an absolute perfect place to stay. I would also respectfully suggest binning the Polypropylene bath mat that simply spreads water around the bathroom floor, an absorbent cotton one would be so much better. Not a deal breaker but an honest observation! This honest review should not take away from a property that is clearly maintained and cleaned to a high standard each week, and none of the criticism is made without a desire to thank the owners on all other fronts.

Thank you for your feedback, we are pleased that over all you enjoyed your visit at Dragonflies & Seahorses. We have taken on board the mention of blackout curtains in the master bedroom and will install these, all other rooms already have these. The mattress is a very good quality brand and is not very old at all, as you can appreciate these are of personal preference to each individual. The bed in this room is a standard double, which we chose over a king size to ensure space for guests to move around the room. We have removed the bath mat. Property Owner

  • "This is a great house and as described."

On arrival, the garden and appearance were pleasant and tidy. The house was very clean and functional with everything you could need. The toys in the children's bunk room and trampoline in garden were an added bonus for our twins, especially my son who has autism and loves jumping and baby toys. The owners also left Easter treats and tulips which made us feel very welcome. So thank you. The beds could be more slightly more comfortable. My husband and I shared the twin room and one bed was quite lumpy and kept me awake. A mattress topper would probably help. The shower was leaking into the kitchen slightly during our stay, but am sure this will get sorted, we just felt bad as had to shower knowing it leaked and dripped onto kitchen window. The garden was nice to sit in with a cuppa although this house is on a modern housing estate, so no views as such, but pleasant enough. Aside from these minor things, we really enjoyed staying near to Falmouth and just a short walk (around 15 minutes) to swanpool which is a lovely little beach with cafe. We have family in the area so it was a perfect base for us, we would stay here again.

Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback. We take this seriously and are pleased to inform you that the shower has been fixed and we have purchased a new mattress. Thank you also for your positive comments, we look forward to welcoming you at Dragonflies and Seahorses in the future! Property Owner

  • "A very well equipped property, that was clean and comfortable."

It would benefit by having some curtains, or blinds for the dining area window. A dustpan and brush would have allowed us to sweep up the odd crumbs. PThese are very minor items and did not detract from us having an enjoyable stay. We would definitely stay there again.
