  • "We were very impressed with the house and loved the layout."

    It was such a sociable space and suited us as a group ideally. We honestly couldn't think of anything that we would change. We loved the quirky pictures and ornaments, the chairs were comfy (apart from at least one kitchen chair that was very wonky) and we couldn't find any games? We all forgot to bring something silly to play so that would have been nice but it wasn't important. The beds were very comfortable - a great place and I think I would love to come back with my family next time.

    Oh no! There were lots of board games, cards etc in the metal cupboard in the dining room, facing the front door! If you do come again - you'll know where to find them..... But so glad you nevertheless had a lovely time! Property Owner

  • "Fantastic property for a group of friends or a large family to stay in."

    Kitchen is so well-equipped for cooking. Bedrooms and beds are very comfortable and beautifully decorated. Less than 2 minute walk to the beach and to Thorpeness Meare. It was perfect for our needs and we had a great weekend. Tips: bring shower gel etc with you and extra toilet rolls, but towels and bed linen are provided.

  • "We had a great holiday - it was a lovely home in the centre of the village."

    Easy to walk to the beach - 1 minute away, the boating lake (2 minutes a way) the cafe (2 minutes away) and the hotel (which did excellent food) 10 minutes maximum walk. The house was lovely and comfortable. We don't normally return as there is so much to explore in the UK but all of the family agreed we would visit again. Well worth coming to.

Literally just moments away from the dunes at Thorpeness in Suffolk, 2 The Dunes is a wonderful holiday destination ideal for families.

Having undergone a complete restoration, the property boasts a wealth of traditional features whilst still offering all the mod cons any discerning guest would expect.

A real selling point of the house is the fact it directly overlooks Thorpeness Meare and the views are simply stunning.

The stylish sitting room has attractive oak flooring and a woodburning stove as well as an extensive seating area making it the ideal place to gather and enjoy quality time together.

The contemporary kitchen is fully equipped with everything needed to rustle up delicious food for everyone and guests can choose from informal dining at a bistro table in the kitchen or more formal meals in the dining room.

Upstairs the five bedrooms are all charmingly presented and the master bedroom benefits from a balcony with sea views.

Imagine waking up and stepping out onto the balcony in the morning and soaking up the Suffolk ambience.

Outside there are benches and a dining table and chairs helping to entice guests to enjoy time alfresco.

The location of 2 The Dunes is simply sublime with the Meare directly in front of the property and Thorpeness itself within a short walk.

Within easy reach of the village is the popular coastal town of Aldeburgh where you can find further attractions and amenities such as another beach, independent shops and coastal walks.
