  • "Resort was amazing."

Only thing that was disappointing was the shop. Not much in the way of essentials. We struggled to even get a bottle of juice. Resort rules are that dogs have not to be off the lead at any time, yet the ranger never had his on a lead. His dog ran after ours and tried to bite his neck. The rangers would not even come out his station to come and get his dog nor did he make any attempts to come and apologise. Complained to the receptionist and they just said how nice the dog was. No excuses for not having his dog on a lead if this is the rules of the resort there should be no exceptions. What if that was a child his dog had ran after?

  • "Last holiday in Scotland they put us opposite a villa that was undergoing repairs."

Knowing that this was going to last all week. Felt uncomfortable and it was noisy. I asked but it was later in the week so felt too late to move

ARDGARTAN, LOCH LONG

In the heart of Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park, pine-covered mountains sweep down to meet cosy cabins on the shore of Loch Long. Ardgartan is a forest filled with Scots Pine trees, where red squirrels play and golden eagles soar overhead. Follow woodland trails or explore by mountain bike then tuck into a real flavour of Scotland at some of Loch Lomond's most famous restaurants. Ardgartan Argyll is the perfect base for a Scottish walking holiday, from a gentle lochside stroll which begins at your cabin door to more strenuous hikes within the Argyll Forest Park. Surrounding the cabin are the Arrochar Alps, a glorious mountain range where you can bag as many as 5 munros. No stay in Argyll would be complete without visiting Inveraray and its stunning castle. The ancestral seat of the Duke of Argyll, chief of the Clan Campbell, the castle is still the family’s home today.
