The cabins are well equipped and clean, the beds are very comfortable and the cooking facilities excellent. There's ample space and storage and the hot tub is a nice relaxing touch. The reason I only gave 8 out of 10 is because I feel it's slightly overpriced, especially during the summer months. There are not enough offers for those families and people are lower wages so not everyone is able to afford the pleasure of staying at your cabins, which is a huge shame. The on-site facilities although good, could be better including longer opening hours and a better selection of food items to both order from the cafe and purchase from the shop. I've also noticed on a number of visits that the hot tub isn't always at its best and the pumps don't always work as good as they used too AnonymousNov 2023 "Excellent cabin, docked 1 point for kids play area - needs a bit more" AnonymousNov 2023 "It was our first experience and found everything to be if a high standard" AnonymousNov 2023 "It would have been 10 except the only way to watch movies is via your own movie package rather than us taking our own with us." AnonymousNov 2023 "Clean cabins." Lovely staff on site AnonymousNov 2023 "The site was clean, the staff friendly and helpful." The accommodation was clean, comfortable and homely. The hot tub was clean and at a great temperature. The two times we ate food prepared at the forest retreat, the food was really tasty and fresh. The spaces surrounding the site were clearly well maintained and clearly efforts had been mate throughout to create habitats for wildlife. AnonymousNov 2023 "Everyone is friendly." Welcoming. The lodges are clean and homely AnonymousNov 2023 "We thought the lodges and site were lovely, but the shop could have offered slightly more produce and less gifts" AnonymousOct 2023 "Excellent accommodation and service" AnonymousOct 2023 "Depends if on a deal price as not worth full price due to bathroom and shower needing upgrade, no washing machine, paid for fast internet wasn't any better keep turning off." Plus lodge was next to pathway so wasn't private. AnonymousOct 2023 "Was peaceful and relaxing." Cabins equipped, modern and clean. Real cosy feeling. We have stayed with many companies and enterprises offering similar experiences and Forest Holidays have been the best. Staff exceptionally friendly, a lovely central base shop and information point that makes things simple, and an excellently spacious golden oak cabin with minimal clutter but quality furnishings (perfect with a 3 and 1 year old!). We had a small hiccup on the first night with our curry night but the response was fantastic! AnonymousOct 2023 "We love FH" AnonymousOct 2023 "Calm, good location." House was nice and cosy.
