  • "Lovely staff and the cabins were beautiful and cosy."

Heating in every room and the hot tub was great but could have been on a higher temperature

KELDY FOREST

Keldy Forest is idyllic woodland and sunlit glades. Coast, countryside and moorland are nearby, giving an authentic Yorkshire feel. Hike along the famous Cinder Track, cycle the 'lost' Bransdale Loop or explore the surrounding forest, where the hooting of the nocturnal tawny owl fills the air. Pickering is the closest town to Keldy and along with Ryedale's other towns of Helmsley, Kirkbymoorside, Malton and Norton, it has independent shops, art galleries, excellent restaurants, and a host of festivals and special events. Pickering is also at the end of the North Yorkshire Moors Railway line. Catch the steam train to Goathland, where you can step off at Hogsmeade Station from Harry Potter and walk through Aidensfield from TV’s Heartbeat.
