    The lodge was lovely and we really loved having the hot tub. Good facilities with the cafe, shop and option to order food delivery. The nature of the holiday means forest tracks and mud so maybe not to some tastes, but we had the dogs and loved being in the middle of the forest.

    A few little things with the accommodation though. There was only one soap between two bathrooms. One of the blinds in the living room was broken.

    The roads leading from the main road to the cabins were atrocious full of pot holes which could easily be filled in we had to drive at 10mph to try and avoid them.

    The cabin was warm and cosy, the hot tub wonderful, the walks peaceful, the rooms dark and beds comfortable, the takeaway lovely and the staff in the retreat lovely. We captured the most amazing memories in the picturesque landscape and have already rounded up the family to come again in the new year.
