Why we’re celebrating our Sykes Gems

Our mission here at Sykes Cottages is to provide absolutely unforgettable holiday experiences. A huge part about what has made this vision a reality over the last 25 years is the thousands of fantastic properties we’re able to offer thanks to the dedicated owners who work alongside us.

We want to celebrate all these outstanding owners who tirelessly champion excellence for our holidaymakers, as well as the properties themselves that provide the ultimate guest experience.

What we’re looking for

We believe our owners deserve to be recognised for their achievements. Whether you’ve only been with us for a few months or you’re a seasoned Sykes owner, we want you to nominate yourself so we can showcase your amazing hard work.

In the search for our Sykes Gems, we’ll be bringing together a panel of top industry experts who will carefully judge our Gold, Silver and Bronze Winners for each award category.

Think your property stands out from the crowd? We want to be able to shout about it and it takes just a few minutes to enter! From the most unique to the best for large groups, most eco-friendly to best conversion, you could win best property for any and all of these categories, as well as many more.

-We’re also looking for shining examples of best customer experience. Does your property have that loved-up je-ne-sais-quoi that makes it best for romance? Or does your property go the distance to be the very best for walking holidays?

All nominees will also be automatically entered into regional categories, and Sykes will be giving out a special Customer’s Choice award to the owners who our customers and judges agree truly go above and beyond to offer the ultimate holiday home-from-home for their guests.

How to nominate yourself as a Sykes Gem

It couldn’t be easier to nominate yourself. All you have to do is follow the Sykes Gems notification, or you can simply click the link in May’s owner newsletter.

Entering only takes a few minutes and you can enter up to five categories, so you’ve plenty of chances to be selected!

The deadline for nominations is 17^th July, and our judges will be carefully shortlisting winners in August, before revealing our Sykes Gems Winners in September.
