  • "This was my second trip to Anchor Cottage this year and again I was not disappointed."

The cottage is lovely and clean, comfortable and well equipped. Anchor Cottage is my favourite holiday cottage in the area and its so quiet, a short walk to the beach and a wonderful place for myself and my tiny dog Boo Boo. We will definitely be back!

Thank you so much Morag. Your review is amazing and so appreciated. You left the cottage immaculate which is a huge help. I will pass on your kind message to the cleaner. Much love, Anne Property Owner

Just paces away from the beach and a selection of amenities, Anchor Cottage offers a homely base for a family of four, complete with a pet-friendly garden, well-equipped kitchen/diner, and a roadside parking space.

Park up and unload your belongings, heading indoors to meet the sitting room, complete with a plush corner sofa to sink into with the Smart TV for entertainment.

Continue into the kitchen/diner where you can rustle up and enjoy delicious meals, whilst on sunny days, take advantage of the rear garden, filly enclosed for your four-legged companion.

Catch some rest from either the king-size or twin bedrooms, before completing your morning routine in the bathroom.

On your doorstep you'll find a convenience store, where you can stock up on the essentials, and Braemou Inn pub, where you can enjoy a tipple and a bite to eat, before reaching Hopeman East Beach and Cove Bay for a day at the coastline; golf enthusiasts will enjoy practising their swing at Hopeman Golf Club, set nearby.

Travel inland to tour Elgin Museum and the stunning remains of Elgin Cathedral, whilst Cooper Park offers a lovely space for a leisurely stroll and picnic.

Returning to the coast, be sure to discover Lossiemouth Fisheries & Community Museum, or dine out at a riverfront eatery, overlooking River Lossie, whilst outdoor enthusiasts will relish in the chance to hike across the Cairngorms National Park, initially reached via car.

About the location

HOPEMAN

Elgin 7.3 miles; Lossiemouth 6.3 miles; Inverness 37.1 miles; Aberdeen 73 miles.

Hopeman is a scenic coastal village situated on the shores of the Moray Firth in the Northeast of Scotland. This small village attracts many visitors due to the fact it boasts two sandy beaches, East Beach and West Beach, as well as an idyllic harbour used mainly now for leisure crafts. The East Beach boasts a line of beach huts, all individually decorated, along with a small pavilion. The main street has a number of small shops and a popular tearoom but nowadays the main venue for a big shop is the town of Elgin which has 24-hour Asda and Tesco supermarkets. Elgin sits between Inverness and Aberdeen and is home to the historical Elgin Cathedral. The Moray Firth is home to many dolphins and stretches of stunning coastline with many whisky distilleries, forest walks, cycle paths and little harbours. Outside the village is the popular town of Inverness, where you can find further attractions and amenities such as Infinity Trampoline Park and Inverness Golf Club.
