  • "4 adults and 2 children we had a lovely week here."

Excellent property and beautiful setting. We could have done with extra pillows and the window in the double bedroom leaks when it rained. Otherwise it was fabulous

  • "We liked this property very much and would book it again."

We had a great holiday. The surrounding area is lovely with lush pasture fields and swallows flying around the house. We found plenty to do on Anglesey, and on the mainland. Thank you for the welcome biscuits and wine. About the property: We thought the long glass door to the courtyard could present a health hazard as there are no stickers on the glass to let people, or animals, know that glass is there. It was tempting to walk through it at times when it was shut. We ate most of our meals out so didn't try the oven and didn't have to heat the house, but as stated in the house information, the boiler (for hot water) could be noisy, and at times there was a fuel smell outside. I'm unsure how these things would affect those using the main bedroom. Some of us found the mattresses unsupportive, and the pillows inadequate, with only one pillow supplied per person that sunk low when weight was applied.

  • "Stunning property set in a beautiful and peaceful area."

I could not fault the cottage! It has everything you need to fulfil a fabulous hoilday on the wonderful island of Anglesey. Slept like a log in cozy and comfy beds!! It had every appliance you could think of just a home from home! Set in its own garden, two patios ideal for following that sunshine! Just BOOK IT!!! FANTABULOUS!!

  • "Very comfy beds and bedding."

Great space and good kitchen equipment which didn't need washing before use as so often happens. A downstairs toilet would have mad a difference.

  • "We had an excellent stay, perfect for a family holiday, two of the bedrooms have en-suite shower rooms which really helped with getting everyone showered and giving everyone enough privacy."

The property is beautifully decorated throughout and the kitchen was perfect for making family breakfasts. Thank you so much for letting us stay and we will be planning another trip soon !

  • "We were delighted with the standard, space, cleanliness and lovely 'feel' of the property."

we were especially pleased to see the locally themed pictures & lampshades. It does need to be noted that we found the stuffing was spilling out of some of the cushions in the dining room & some of the ties had come adrift. also one of the mugs had a bad crack & a bowl or two had slight chips, which should be picked up by the cleaners & replaced). The cottage is in a peaceful location away from the main road and was ideal for our family gathering. We would be very happy to stay there again. A couple of points to relay to the owner that we would have found helpful: *The Central Heating guidance in the folder needs to include the information that the 2 boxes either side of the central heating time control unit may need to be manually switched on, left hand side for underfloor heating, right hand side for central heating & both red & blue lights need to show. This would have saved everyone time and trouble after our arrival when the heating wouldn't come on. *A guide is needed for the various dishwasher programmes (length of run, etc) as it is not clear otherwise. *The Wi-fi code should be included in the guide, as the Router's location behind the tv is not immediately obvious. *A vegetable steamer would have been useful

  • "We celebrated my Mum's 80th birthday with our family of seven including my son and his girlfriend who are students at Bangor University."

We were able to share this special occasion together, in a well equiped beautiful cottage. Even though it was warm, it took a bit of time to get the central heating right, we lit the log burner and it was so comfortable as we got our bearings, it would have been perfect if we had access to purchase more logs, as we used them in our first couple of hours. This didn't detract for our enjoyment x

  • "A really Beautiful Cottage."

As lovely as the pictures are, it is even more lovely in real life. All rooms decorated beautifully and even a Christmas tree which was a lovely touch. We really enjoyed bringing in the new year here. We would definitely stay again in the future.

  • "I think it would be helpful for guests to know that all pillows /duvets / cushions are feather as 3 of my party have asthma and there weren't enough anti allergy pillows to go round."

We could have taken our own if we had been pre-warned. That really is the only slight criticism - it is a fantastic place and we would return - duvets in tow ! Highly recommended

Hi Mary We’re glad you enjoyed your stay. We do have anti-allergy pillows on site and have provided the location in our guest book but we will discuss with Menai how to make this easier moving forward. Property Owner

About the location

LLANFAIRPWLLGWYNGYLL

Menai Bridge 2 miles; Beaumaris 6 miles.

Affectionately known by the locals as Llanfair PG, the Anglesey village of Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrnd robwllllantysiliogogogoch, also known by its shortened name of Llanfairpwllgwyngyll has the longest place name in Europe. It was artificially named back in 1860 as a publicity stunt for the railway station and translates from Welsh as "St Mary's church in the hollow of the white hazel near to the fierce whirlpool and the church of St Tysilio of the red cave". Situated close to the Menai Straits, just off the Britannia Bridge, Llanfair PG has much to offer families. After having your photo taken next to the village nameplate at the railway station, head into the popular visitors centre for local tourist information. A short walk past the octagonal Toll House, towards Menai Bridge, will bring you to the Marquis of Anglesey statue and column which, for a small fee, you can climb the 115 steps to the top for superb views of the countryside and coastline. Nelson’s Monument can be easily reached on the banks of the Menai Straits, passing St Mary’s Church on the way. With several good pubs with restaurants, craft and gift shops and cafes, plus the beautiful Anglesey coastline within walking distance, there is plenty to entertain you all year round.

Note; There is a good housekeeping bond of £250.
Please note that no mobile homes, large vehicles or commercial vehicles are permitted on the site.
Note: This property will not accept Stag/Hen or similar parties.
