Unfortunately this time the kitchen not as clean. We had to wash some dishes before we used them. Also the oven hob was greasy. Security light not working out onto the decking, wasn't working last time we were here? Regards Lisa Wilson.

Hi Lisa Glad you enjoyed your stay, sorry everything was not as you expected, we shall be visiting the property this weekend to change the external lighting, we do hope to see you again. Best wishes ... Property Owner

Location is perfect, house has everything you need and nothing you don’t . I am a regular holiday cottage renter, none are ever absolutely perfect but the fact I’ve already booked for the forth time must mean it’s pretty close!

Beautiful house in a fantastic area. Very well equipped house, clean and comfortable. Door handles need a bit of tlc as quite loose, table outside would be lovely, and unfortunately the dishwasher broke during our stay but Patricia was lovely and arranged to sort it ASAP. Nothing major at all and nothing that would stop us coming back. Definitely a 9/10 and will see you next year

  • "We love Anglesey and enjoyed various Sykes cottages over the years."

Bay View was a disappointment. From the initial complaint about the smell and condition of the bed linen, which we washed and dried ourselves, was not a good start. Clean, but worn and ill fitting bed linen was provided on the Saturday. Suggest all beds and linen should be renewed. The overall cleanliness was poor with dirty floors, tacky surfaces which we cleaned ourselves. There was only one shower for 8 people which is not ideal and being in the en suite bedroom condensation was constant. Four bunk beds in one small room was not convenient with no storage facility for clothes and poor ventilation. Overall maintenance was poor, the rotary washing line collapsed, the gutter was broken allowing rain water to splash next to the front door, the microwave stopped working, a leak into the main bedroom from the washing machine prevented use of the appliance and garden furniture had seen better days. Along with weak wifi connections, no welcome pack and no recycling arrangements only added to the inconvenience. The property has great potential but suffers from lack of maintenance and adequate cleanliness.

  • "I’ve stayed here before many years ago and was delighted to find the house still of a very high standard."

It’s light and airy, the patio is a real sun trap lovely for early morning coffee. The house is far enough from the village to be quiet and tranquil but still near enough to enjoy all the facilities. There are some lovely secluded cove beaches within walking distance too. We did have an issue with the burglar alarm due to a power cut but we got an instant response from the owners and the problem was sorted straight away. Can’t recommend highly enough by day three of our holiday we’d already booked to stay again!

  • "I have recently returned from my second stay at this cottage."

It is a lovely property in a great location close to some beautiful little bays. After leaving feedback a year ago that the garden chairs were not comfortable I was delighted to find that there were some sun loungers available, and I spent many comfortable hours reading a book in the garden. The removal of the shower in the main bathroom wasn't a major issue for me as there were only two of us staying, but a larger party may struggle with only one (en-suite) shower in the property. Overall it's a great place and I would definitely want to stay there again.

Really spacious and everything you would need or want in a high end rental property. The owner (Darren) was very helpful and accommodating with everything. Great location and great views from the balcony. Oh, and did I say the place was spotlessly clean which is a big thing for us. We’ll definitely be booking again soon and thank you for a wonderful stay.

The property is extremely well furnished to a very high standard, the heating and water system was very effective, especially required for this time of year and the location was superb. We enjoyed some wonderful walks directly from the door and even though the property is within easy walking distance of the amenities, it is in a quiet location. The spacious parking was another plus.

Ideal location to be able to walk to nearby restaurants, Chinese takeaway and local shop. Also ideally located for beach and other coastal walks. Decor and facilities of house absolutely lovely. The only slight downside was the cleanliness- a few hairs/ dust however this wasn’t noticeable everywhere and not enough to spoil our stay. Overall a lovely place to stay and we would recommend!

Clean, comfortable, right by the sea. Know this area very well, pleasantly surprised with gorgeous winter sunshine end of November. I have a small criticism, the shower is very small and perhaps one in the 2nd bathroom might be helpful especially if more people were staying. The cottage was lovely, had everything we would have expected, the owner was lovely and a nice courtesy call when we arrived. Location is excellent, we know the area really well, toe cottage was warm, quiet and has everything you need. My only very small item to point out was that while most of the cottage was clean there were areas with dust, such as the shelving etc, Also some of the bedding had hair on but these are minor issues. One other thing would be a nice touch to add a welcome pack, biscuits, bread etc. Other cottages we have stayed at have done this and it gives a more welcome touch. I am sure we will be back in the future.

We had to clean everywhere when we got there and the bed linen was quite old with poorly made beds . The bathrooms were very damp as There were no windows and this made the bedrooms feel a little damp too . It was lovely the owner rang to see if everything was okay during our holiday, but disappointing that nothing was done regarding the issuers reported to them at the beginning of the holiday. It would have been nice if fresh bedding had been delivered and some apology for the lack of cleanliness . Overall , nice property with everything provided that was needed , though needing to improve cleanliness as this was very poor in places, in particular the kitchen. Upgrading the bed linen on beds would also be recommended , as it felt very worn .

  • "An absolutely beautiful house in a fabulous location opposite a small beach, with lovely walks up the coastal path nearby."

The house was extremely comfortable and well equipped, the only major thing missing from the kitchen was oven gloves, and a cafetière would have been useful. The photographs on this website need to be updated, as instead of two sun-loungers in the garden there are actually 6 small upright chairs, which I guess makes sense as this cottage is aimed at groups rather than couples. However, it would be good if a couple of sun loungers were also available. In summary, myself and my husband had a great holiday in this cottage and would definitely want to stay there again.

The house itself has stunning views of the sea and is literally a couple of minutes walk to get on the beach. Bay View is a very modern house, lovely modern & tasteful decor, with everything you need for a relaxing holiday. We arrived to discover the second bathroom (with bath) had a small leak from the toilet. I contacted the owner Patricia just to let her know, in case she wasn’t aware. She was so helpful, a plumber arrived within an hour to fix the problem, followed by a delivery of fresh towels as we’d had to use a couple to soak up the water. Fantastic service and Patricia could not have been more friendly or apologetic. Fantastic service! As a couple of other guests have mentioned the fans in the bathrooms don’t work, quick can result in them smelling a bit musty as neither have windows. I’m sure this will be sorted ASAP. We absolutely loved the location, there are some amazing coastal walks right outside the door. Wonderful to return to a cozy and warm house on a winters evening. We will definitely return, already looking to book for the same time next year. Thank you, Denise & Tony :-)

At the end of the drive (not even 2 minutes away) are beautiful rocky coves perfect for rock pools. Views from the decking are beautiful. If I’m being picky, there is only one shower which is in the en-suite, could do with a shower in the main bathroom especially after a day at the beach and 8 people needing a shower! A table on the decking to sit around in the evening would be nice to. Would love to go back!
