Shavington is a charming village nestled on the outskirts of Nantwich and Crewe. The village was first recognised in 1086 and today is best known for the Grade II-listed Shavington Hall which was constructed in 1877 in the famous Tudor style. The village is also home to an array of local stores and charming pubs including The Elephant and The Vine Inn, which both serve traditional pub fare, perfect for when you need a break from the kitchen! The village boasts a fantastic location close to Nantwich home to the Nantwich Museum which displays exhibits in a former library and Dorfold Hall and a beautifully impressive stately home which runs guided tours through the stunning grounds and house. The Peak District National Park is slightly further afield but many National Trust Sites can be found en-route; stop off at Little Moreton Hall or Biddulph Grange Garden before exploring the wealth of walks and trails woven throughout the Peak District.
