  • "This house is absolutely stunning with high end fixtures and fittings throughout."

    On arrival, the house was immaculately clean and superbly equipped for all our holiday needs. The beds are ultra comfortable and are furnished with luxury bedding, which made for a superb nights sleep at the end of the day. The views from the balconies are outstanding and perfect for when we had some downtime. We would thoroughly recommend a stay at the Miramar and will definitely be booking again on our next visit to Cornwall.

  • "The property is spacious and it has breath taking views over the village and the ocean."

    It has been tastefully decorated and has everything you need. Owners are very helpful and respond to messages very quickly. The village has a lovely beach, a shop for basic grocery needs and a restaurant. Big shops like Morrison are close by. There are lovely walks that start from the village. Totally recommend if you are after a relaxing holiday.

The property

Enjoying far reaching sea views Miramar is the perfect house to relax and enjoy your holiday.

The view spans across from Rame Head to Looe Island.

This stunning reverse living house is set over three floors.

With each floor benefiting from direct access to spacious balconies with 180-degree vistas of the Ocean.

The perfect spot for a sundowner and to enjoy the beautiful sunset.

The southwest coast path and the beach of Downderry are just a five minute stroll from the front door.

The house is also within walking distance of the local pub, restaurant and café.

Also, less than one mile away is the beach of Seaton where there are a further 2 cafes and a public house to choose from. The property is located at the top of the hill in Downderry and benefits from a large driveway with parking for 3+ cars.

Entering the house on the second floor to a bright, contemporary open plan area, double bi-fold doors lead out to the spacious balcony with full views of the sea.

This space incorporates a light airy lounge boasting plush furnishings where you can spend nights around the TV, a sociable dining table for group meals accompanied by a bottle of wine, prepared from the amply equipped kitchen which holds all the amenities you'll need for your stay. The middle floor of the property houses a spacious snug room with seating for eight.

This floor also houses two stylish, comfortable double bedrooms, family bathroom with spacious bath and walk in shower and one King-size bedroom with ensuite and phenomenal views of the ocean and direct access to the spacious balcony with seating. Downderry is a small quiet coastal village situated in south east Cornwall. Downderry has a sheltered beach, Post Office and shop, deli, and a cliff top pub and an excellent restaurant, serving quality local food. At low tide it is possible to walk along the beach from Downderry to Seaton, where you will find a family friendly south facing beach and the nearby Seaton Valley Countryside Park and Nature reserve is home to wildlife, including otters and kingfishers and also offers great cycling and walking opportunities. The picturesque working harbours at Looe and Polperro are within an easy driving distance away, and the wonderful stretches of the South West Coast Path in this part of Cornwall take you to rocky coves, dramatic headlands and tales of shipwrecks and smugglers. Further afield is Plymouth, where you will find plenty to see and do, including a marine aquarium, a theatre, large shopping centres and the historic Barbican waterside area.
