"Lovely place to stay, and such a great location."
It was very comfortable and spacious, and had everything we needed for our stay.
Internal/cleaning note - the fridge/freezer had been turned off and we discovered a bottle of milk had been left in the fridge, so it smelt pretty bad. It also meant the ice in the freezer had melted so there was a bit of water that we had to mop up. We reported this to John Bray the morning after we arrived, and there were no further issues once we turned the appliance back on. More of a cleaning note. There are also different instructions about what to do with rubbish, between the welcome book and the note in the kitchen.
We’re really glad you had a nice stay and sincere apologies for the issue with the fridge freezer. Speaking to our management company it seems this was inadvertently switched off during cleaning. Thank you for flagging the inconsistency between instructions for the rubbish. The laminated instructions in the kitchen are the correct version, we will make sure the welcome book is updated.

"I’m just back from a week’s stay at Sea Spray."
The cottage was lovely. Gorgeous views of the sea and a beautiful walk (very steep) to Port Isaac harbour and Port Gaverne beach. The cottage was very homely with everything that we needed. Location and the weather was perfect. We ate our breakfast in the enclosed garden.
The holiday was PERFECT and we all had a very relaxing break.
Thank you very much for taking the time to leave a review and so pleased you had a great holiday!

"Lovely comfortable cottage in a good location."
Only 10 mins from the harbour. It is down an unmade road which might be an issue for some people as it does have potholes and is uneven when walking. Everything provided including washing up liquid and lots of loo roll but no hairdryer. I only mention as I forgot mine and this was the first house I have stayed in where there wasnt one, still a good excuse to visit Trago Mills. I have marked it down slightly as it is beginning to need decorating, nothing major the scuffs and scrapes of normal wear but they do need attending to. With that done I would happily give Sea Spray 5 stars and in any event would be happy to stay there again should I ever revisit Port Isaac.

"Beautiful, very clean house with garden, which is very secure for even a small dog (who seemed very relaxed from day one)."
Loved the little touch of a sensor night tourch on the landing. Mattresses are very comfortable. It has everything you need for a self catering holiday, I would highly recommend this property. If I could pack this house up and take it with me to all our holiday destinations i would. Just felt so relaxed there.
Thank you for taking the time to feedback, lovely to hear you had a nice holiday and enjoyed the house.

"Nice comfy cottage, generally very clean although I did have to empty the bathroom bin on arrival and no recycling bags available."
loved the idea of the enclosed back garden, however couldn’t really use it as grass was so long and uncut, also my grandson came in the with mess on his shoe.
On arrival no hot water, tried to contact via the office & 2x emergency numbers but unable to make contact with anyone, so that was very disappointing and inconvenient.
I had requested & confirmation a highchair would be available, however not supplied.
Thank you for taking the time to feedback and we’re sorry you didn’t find everything in order when you arrived. We have checked with our management team regarding contact numbers and a landline number, mobile number and email address are all provided on a laminated card in the kitchen and again in the welcome book so it is difficult to understand why you were unable to contact them. They were also unable to locate any messages or emails from your stay. If you had been able to speak to them they would have explained that the high chair is located in the under stairs cupboard and that the hot water is an on demand system that can take an hour to warm up following arrival. We will make sure our welcome book is updated to include these details for future guest. I’m sorry there weren’t any recycling bags and the grass was too long in the back garden this should have been corrected before your arrival. The bathroom bin should also have been emptied. We do appreciate the feedback so we can ensure our management team maintain high standards in the future.

"Sea view cottage is in a lovely location, easy to access, parking out the front and big enough to offer space for two adults and teenagers so we’re not on top of one another."
The king size bed is a memory foam type of mattress, my husband liked it but I found it uncomfortable so it’s personal preference. We did have a couple of niggles regarding the kitchen, there are no scissors (this was frustrating when trying to open things like ground coffee, museli and pasta), our other niggle was the chopping board, there is only one, it’s a big wooden chopping board, when preparing food you have to cut any veg/potatoes before meat, the chopping board doesn’t fit in dishwasher so I was concerned about if all meat bacteria cleaned off, I would prefer two boards or one that fits in dishwasher. The cottage was a clean comfortable place to stay, I would recommend to others. It would be great if there was a visitors book so guests could leave feedback and tell you about favourite places they’ve visited or walked, I’ve found these really helpful when visiting other cottages. Co-op 3 minutes away, very convenient. Port Gaverne was a steep 15 minute walk but great for swimming, paddle boarding, snorkelling and a great pub, we went here everyday.
Thank you very much for taking the time to provide feedback, your comments are very helpful. We are very glad you enjoyed your stay.

"We loved staying at your cottage, it was the perfect location and lovely to have a garden for our dog."
The bed and settee was very comfortable and it provided everything we needed. The welcome hamper was great too. The only downside was the front and back grass in the garden was very long and hadn’t been cut in a while. It would have looked so much neater arriving at your property and nicer sitting out in the back garden if it had been cut. We would definitely come back again if we were staying in the area. Thank you.
Thank you for taking the time to feedback and very glad you had a good stay. We’re very sorry that the grass was uncut, this was a misunderstanding with our gardener (now been rectified). We would love to welcome you back.

"Very clean and tidy."
And it was great to have cleaning materials provided!
The cottage is well equipped and was very comfortable.
The garden is small, but different areas get the sun in the morning and afternoon.
The dog field 5 minutes walk away is very useful.

"Cottage light and nicely decorated, mainly comfortable for a relaxing break."
Cleaning could've been better, quite a few cobwebs on light fittings and dead flies under beds and on window sills. Kitchen and bathroom floors need a good mop. Washing machine very stagnant/damp smell, unusable.
Nice size downstairs, comfortable living room and conservatory. Modern kitchen and bathroom. King size bed very comfortable, single beds ok.
Instructions left for most things but not hot water, not obvious at all and no signage to switch on, took a while to work out it was emmersion in a cupboard and a good few hours to heat up leading us to think it was broken, but it did eventually work well. Only electric heaters but worked efficiently.
Room for one vehicle, small garden good for summer. Nice walk down into Port Isaac and lovely views of sea from master bedroom.
We’re very sorry that the cleaning was not up to standard and have raised this with our management team. The hot water should also be switched on prior to guests arrival and again this should have been dealt with by our management team and we have raised. We’re glad overall you had a comfortable and relaxing break.
