  • "Very nice stay and lovely property the only negative was the cleanliness of the carpet which was overdue a clean."

Cushions for the outside chairs and loungers would make it more comfortable.

  • "We've just had the most relaxing week at 4 faraway fields, the property is very secluded and not overlooked at all."

The decor inside the property is beautifully decorated to a very high standard. And its the little things that make a difference like the pint of milk in the fridge, the cute bag of toiletries and the box containing tea, coffee, biscuits, binbag, sponge, washing up liquid +other stuff. The only tiny advice id give is to buy a spatula as there wasnt one but apart from that, We will definitely be back.

Adequately equipped with everything you need for a home from home stay. Loads of space for 2 people and 2 dogs. Hot tub was great. Only suggestion would be the oven could do with a clean as smoked when the grill was used.. but a beautiful property in a stunning location and would highly recommend

Thank you for the great feedback and recommendation. We are glad all four of you enjoyed your stay and there was plenty of space in a stunning location, we will look into the grill, many thanks. Property Owner

  • "Lovely stay in a great location."

The cabin was really light and airy and extremely clean! We had a great break. The only downside is that the structure over the hot tub doesn’t act as a rain cover (we booked assuming this was the case), water does come through quite heavily! I would recommend. :-)

We are glad you enjoyed your break and agree the location is great, the structure is such to allow for water to drain away but thank you for your comments and recommendation. Property Owner

The only slight complaints we would have is the jet bath when we started up lots of black stuff came out. The final point the check out says 10 but we had what we can assume we’re the cleaners sat waiting in the car at 9am, we were planning on relaxing just before driving home but instead felt we had to rush and leave as they were just sat staring at us!

Thank you for taking the time to leave us your comments, the bath issues has now been resolved. We are sorry that you felt uncomfortable on the last morning of your stay, these comments have been passed to our Housekeeping team. Property Owner

  • "The property was really lovely."

Really spacious and comfortable and the decor very modern. The hot tub was a lovely addition. Lots of places around to visit with a short drive away. We did have one issue, with the heating not working and cabin was freezing. We rang the 24 hour line (at 5pm) and left a voicemail. No one called us back, and we kept trying the number and still no answer. Luckily we rang a friend who helped advise it was a simple switch button that needed turning on, which was not visible if you don’t know anything about boilers! Had we not sorted it, I suspect we would have had the entire week in the freezing cold. Small other point, would be useful to have a towel rail in the toilet, as you get water everywhere when washing your hands and moving to the bathroom to dry hands. 2 small points, it didn’t impact our holiday, but would be good to make the improvements. Definitely will be booking again, we really loved it there and enjoyed ourselves.

Hello thank you for your feedback, we now have an Emergency Engineer who is available after hours and the system re-directs to him with any issues such as heating, water, electric. We hope this reassures that we take all feedback on board and look to improve in the areas needed. Property Owner

Enjoyed the hot tub every day & the sky roof terrace on the days we had the sunshine. The views were amazing from up there. The lodge was very nice with everything you needed for the week. Went visiting a few different places around Cornwall throughout the week. Overall a really great holiday would highly recommend staying here.

  • "Property was in a good location and generally clean."

The area around the bath needed maintenance and the decking surrounding hot tub required Although the property was in a quiet location, it was too open plan for me, which meant you could hear every noise that someone made. The property was very light, due to the number of windows, but it allowed in too much light at night and in the morning which made sleeping difficult. The bedroom was very small and airless.

  • "The lodge is beautiful and really well appointed for a couple, but, from our perspective, not suitable for a baby."

Despite it looking so in the photos, it's impossible to darken the room sufficiently, due to the open plan passageway to the shower and bath area, and furthermore, because of the gap above the sliding door from there to the living area, sound fully carries through to the bedroom, and we had to watch TV on volume 3 with subtitles every night after the baby went to bed. Even the flashing lights from the telly are very visible in the bedroom after dark. So 4-5 star and highly recommended for a couple, but only 3 star at best and not recommended for a couple with young baby.

We stayed for a week in total and loved every minute of it! The site the accommodation is on is very Secure and safe with key code gate at the entrance and CCTV around the site which added to feeling safe. The accommodation itself was perfect, we a cosy living area and comfy sofa perfect for a night in after a long day exploring Cornwall. We used the local takeaways recommend and once again perfect service with no hassle on getting it delivered. We enjoyed our stay so much that we have already booked to go back next year, however exploring another of the the lodges instead. I would highly recommend staying here, value for money is highly met and such a relaxing break. Would give this 10/10!

When we entered the lodge we couldn’t believe how nice this was. Immaculately clean with everything you could need. Open plan living room with large free view tv, one sofa which was very comfy. Kitchen with fridge freezer, micro wave , dish washer, washing machine kettle and toaster and 4 ring gas cooker & electric oven. Open plan bathroom jacuzzi bath, separate shower and hand basin. Also separate toilet and hand basin. The bedroom had a king size bed walk in wardrobe and other storage space. 2 french doors leading from sitting room onto a veranda at the side and french doors leading sitting room and bedroom onto decking where there was a sunken hot tub absolutely fantastic. The hot tub was inspected daily. Also a well kept grassed area. We would definitely recommend this place and definitely return no problem a real gem.

Had everything we needed and more. The lodge was private and secluded and we never once felt over looked while in the hot tub. After taking photos and posting them on social media, because we were so chufffed with our choice of stay, we have had a lot of people asking about the lodge. We have gladly shared to them the info on the lodges as this place really is luxury and too good not to share with others to enjoy! Thank you so much!

It was as if the legs had been removed and this made it awkward to get up from it. Other than that i would definitely return. Spotlessly clean great facilities inside. Great outdoor space with upper decking area (took a telescope to do a bit of star gazing) and with the hedging, not overlooked when in the hot tub.

Lovely layout with lots of natural light. Well equipped and modern, lovely jacuzzi bath and hot tub which we made full use of during our stay. The sky deck is a nice feature and covered the hot tub which meant you could still use it when it was raining. Location was perfect for exploring Cornwall and we’ve already booked a return trip - this place is a real gem.

  • "Nice little lodge to stay in, hot tub was great to relax in, nice that there is someone that comes around daily to check the water etc on the hot tub, however the fact that he would turn up at random times and we had no prior warning was a bit off putting, especially as our bedroom overlooks the hot tub."

Cleanliness was a bit of a let down due to finding empty wine bottles left on the terrace on arrival, also lots of cobwebs and spiderwebs within the lodge. It is nice that there are contractors looking after the maintenance, however when your relaxing and suddenly there is some guy on a lawnmower outside your window cutting grass, just feel that this again invaded privacy a little, especially with so many windows, patio doors and a hot tub. Apart from that the lodge was lovely, location perfect and hot tub spot on.... Please just remember people have come away for a relaxing break and privacy!!

After a 5 1/2 hour drive, we were more than pleased at our temporary home, we couldn’t fault anything about it! Everything was clean and tidy, my partner was worried the WiFi would be slow due to the previous reviews about it but it was absolutely fine! We were unlucky with the weather but managed to get out when the rain had stopped for a bit. We took our dog with us and he loved the house and all the walks we went on (Golitha Falls is amazing!) - only downside was having to wipe his feet every time we let him out as the grass was waterlogged but that couldn’t be helped due to the weather. We were surprised at how quiet it was and enjoyed the silence whilst in the hot tub. There was also a Morrison’s only 10 minutes away. I would definitely come again and wish we stayed longer and the weather was better!

Well I was in that almost every day it was amazing everything was so clean and tidy it was raining a few days but the hot tub is covered so you can still get in either way, such a perfect romantic place to getaway and have a relaxed and piece full time I can’t explain how much I’ve had a brilliant time here. There was quite a lot of places we visited aswell such as Plymouth, St ives, Padstow, The Rock, Newquay& Looe not that far from where we was staying as we drove to these such a beautiful place I couldn’t fault it in any way or have any complaints what so ever apart from the WiFi is abit poor. I would definitely recommend this lovely Lodge to anyone! Also this property is on a little hill so your abit away from the other property’s makes it all the more peaceful, it has amazing views! Thankyou for making our little getaway fantastic we will definitely be coming again♥️

  • "There was only three minor issues with the accommodation."

    1) The pathway up to the front door from the car park is not illuminated which makes it difficult to see where steps are. 2) The chlorine level in the hot tub for my sensitive skin. After speaking to the chlorine tester regarding the sensitive skin issue, he was more than happy to alter the chlorine levels. 3) The address that was provided was incorrect. We had to contact the maintenance guy for the correct address. Yes, the property was at 4 faraway fields. What we didn't know prior to arrival, was that lodge was on the property of Southern Hult Cottages. If the name of the the property was provided in the property confirmation email, there would not have been any issues. Having said all this, the week away was lovely and exactly what we needed.

  • "Perfect little getaway."

Shame about the weather (obviously out of anyone’s control) but the facilities in the lodge were perfect for cosy nights in. As we were staying in the sky terrace lodge, when it rained we were sheltered in the hot tub by the surrounding trees, L-shape of the lodge and the terrace above. We brought some amenities ourselves (little things such as washing up liquid and milk), however we found upon entry that Sykes had taken the liberty to provide all of these for us.

  • "Upon arrival the lodge looked great."

Unfortunately that evening the light in the living room was constantly flickering. We then went to use the jacuzzi bath and the top of the tap came off which caused us to have to put our hand through the boiling hot water to turn it off. We then decided to go to bed and found that the bathroom light was stuck on. This caused us to not sleep well as there isn't a door between the bathroom and the bedroom. We did have an electrician come and and the only thing he could do was disconnect the light in the bathroom. We were also disappointed with the hot tub as it looks like the decking area above would shelter the hot tub but all it does it causes cold drips into the hot tub which means it cant be used for a couple of hours after the rain has stopped and we couldn't use the jacuzzi bath because of the tap. As if this wasnt enough we were also disappointed that the lodge stated that it had wifi and the wifi was so poor that you couldn't even load a video on your phone. We did need wifi on our holiday which is why we checked it has wifi so this again was extremely disappointing. The look of the lodge was lovely but didnt live up to the expectation.

The accomodation is well presented, clean and well equipped. The location is good, within reasonable driving distant of both North and South coastlines and there are plenty of shops a short drive away. We loved the hot tub and sun deck and would definitely recommend it to couples who want a nice quiet getaway. Some very minor things which could make it even better: - Bags or a container for recycling would be useful (glass and plastic/paper needed to be separated). - A few hooks or extra rails for towels, etc would be helpful in the bathroom. - The hedge around the cabin is pretty low, so things aren't as private as they could be, particularly with so many huge windows everywhere, including the bathroom. I'm sure it'll grow eventually! Overall we had a great time and we'd definitely come back - thank you!

  • "The first how to access your keys email had gate code or 1066."

However on arrival at approx 9pm, the gates wouldn’t open with 1066. I called the out of hours number for the local management company who informed me that 1066 was the old code. It transpires that the reminder version did contain a new PIN, however I didn’t read a reminder, as that implied it was simply a reminder and didn’t give any hints that it contained different content. The man on the phone laughed when I asked if he could text me the new PIN so that I could remember it over the weekend, saying “you can’t remember a 4 digit number’. Shocking service!

I would however say that it states it is baby friendly, but there is virtually no room to place the travel cot. We had to squeeze it between the bed and the double doors which as you can imagine was difficult not to disturb our daughter when getting in and out of bed. Just lacked a few practical things like somewhere to hang your towel / dressing gown. No sun loungers present, cushions were there but actual loungers missing.
