  • "Really enjoyed our stay and will definitely book again."

Unfortunately wasn't able to use the roof garden due to poor weather but made extra use of the spa bath and sauna. This was a perfect getaway for us.

  • "This was a beautiful lodge at a great location."

Had everything we needed was lovely to see the milk in the fridge along with some cleaning things and coffee, tea and biscuits and not forgetting the pack of leaflets of things to see and do. The sun deck was amazing lovely to sit up there in the mornings and great to see the starts at night. A mirror in the bedroom and an oven glove would have been good. We definitely want to come back and would recommend. Lovely and peaceful location and not far from the coast.

  • "9 Meadow retreat was a wonderful stay."

We had an active holiday and coming back to the lodge was an amazing treat and exciting in itself. After a long day of exploring Cornwall, coming back to a huge indoor hot tub and cinema room was an amazing way to wind down. Everything worked very well and the amenities were of great quality. Everything was immaculately clean on our arrival and would thoroughly recommend to anyone thinking about staying there. The lodge site was quiet and peaceful and felt secluded. The only way I would suggest to improve on the stay would be to provide more basics such as more loo roll, some salt and pepper and some kitchen roll. We did have to buy this ourselves, which is fair enough as it is self catered but it would be a great addition, so there is no excess wastage by the end of the stay.

The cinema room, jacuzzi bath and sauna were pure luxury and very much added to the whole experience. Would definitely recommend.

Really thoughtful to provide tea/coffee and milk, as well as toiletries. Highly recommend!

  • "Beautifully presented lodge with every amenity you could wish for."

All the technology worked flawlessly along with the excellent Wi-Fi. Cinema room a real treat along with the huge jaccussi in the garden room. The roof terrace was wonderful for star gazing. We will be back in the Autumn for a longer stay.

  • "We have absolutely adored our stay at 9 Meadow Retreat!"

The property was beautiful! It comes with everything you could possibly need! Chopping board, fridge with freezer space, a brilliant knife selection for food prep, collinder, loads of trays and baking utensils etc! There's plenty of towels and towel textured dressing gowns! The hot tub is more a jacuzzi bath, but is still amazing! It makes it even more special with the TV aspect! The bed is really comfortable, although we kept walking into the bottom of the bed as it slightly sticks out. The cinema room is perfect with Netflix connection. (Just remember to sign out and click to not save your email). The only downside is we didn't locate the on site restaurant to try that, but the weather was not in our favour at all. Overall, we would come back to this lodge in a heartbeat! You also have your own parking space, but it is not numbered.

  • "The place is nice and remote for a nice quiet break can't fault it was nice and clean on arrival with good communication regarding entrance code and key location property was as described only thing the road on the complex is covered in loose stones that make a fair bit of noise when cars drive on them woke us up a few times in the mornings but thats just a small niggle the place is very nice will be booking again."

  • "Absolutely amazing couldn't fault anything with this property, the sauna and jacuzzi are a fantastic touch and great to relax in after a fun day out."

The cleanliness of the property was brilliant, the bed was very comfy if you don't mind a soft mattress. I thought it was situated perfectly, the furthest drive we had to make was only an hour journey and that was to Penzance and St Ives. Will definitely be booking here again, thank you.

  • "We did love our stay at 9 Meadow retreat there was just a few things that we felt could make it that much better."

We believe that the people that stayed there before us must have been celebrating a 50th as we found quite a few 50th metallic confetti all over the cabin. I do feel also that you need to put a mirror in the bedroom as the only mirror in the cabin was in the bathroom and when I wanted to dry my hair in the morning I had to use my reflection in the door which was not ideal. Apart from those points out stay was brilliant and we would come back again.

  • "Had a wonderful relaxing stay in 9 Meadow Retreat, sauna and spa bath were amazing."

Everything at the lodge was extremely good and clean. One tiny criticism is that the fridge is too small. This was our 4th visit to Southern Halt and will no doubt visit again soon!

  • "Really nice place, but as others have said no instructions on the use of any of the nice added extras."

Managed to find some instructions for the TV in the garden room hidden in a pile in a draw. This is almost impossible to use without them. Also there is a washing machine which isn’t mentioned anywhere in the description, and can’t be seen in any photos on the write up.

  • "This was a brilliant lodge, and well equipped."

The cinema room was a pleasant room to relax in in the evening, This was a walking holiday, we did several close to the lodge. The sun deck was a nice place to relax when the weather allowed. We did not use the jacuzzi TV as at full volume we still could not hear it, but we enjoyed relaxing in the Jacuzzi. I found I used the sauna more than I thought i would. The covered in area outside the bedroom door meant we slept with the door slightly open, helping keeping us cool. The Little things made the place, the lighting, in the garden room and the cinema room, the big shower, the bluetooth speakers, the wine cooler in the kitchen, which kept the cans of Gin and Tonic cold. The dishwasher etc. Straight down the hill over the mini roundabout, is a very well stocked Spa shop.

  • "Really great stay in a wondeful location, we went from lands end to padstow and plenty in between, but even the local area has golitha falls and some nice walks you can do, aswell as the town of liskeard to grab food and essentials."

Hot tub was a real treat after a day exploring. Cinema room also an amazing feature too for unwinding. Only suggestion would be if more essential items were provided. E.g salt and pepper, perhaps cling film or something for food storage. Nit picking though. Great stay overall.

  • "The cabin was very clean when we arrived and it was a delightful stay."

The facilities are brilliant and kept our evenings entertaining. The only improvements I can think of is the TV in the hot tub could be looked at because it won’t let you use Netflix properly and maybe an area where there is a plug near a mirror, so it’s easy to get ready in the morning. We had a brilliant time

  • "Lovely accommodation."

Well equipped kitchen and extremely clean throughout. Really peaceful and quiet with well tended grounds. We loved the Cinema room especially as the weather wasn't very good. Only used the upstairs sun terrace once but it was a great space and would be ideal in the summer months. Limited dishwasher tablets and tiny bottle of washing up liquid provided so remember to take some extra. There is also a washing machine but you will need to take powder/tablets. There is a Spar supermarket in the village about 3-5 minute drive away, we never walked it as there were no pavements and road was busy at certain times. Restaurant that is advertised in the brochure is 15mins away at the other complex.

  • "The lodge retreat was absolutely fantastic!"

It was a bit chilly inside the first day & night so I would suggest to the managers to have the heating on for longer prior to guest arrival in the winter months. Also some instructions on how to use the jacuzzi TV would be great as it took us a while to finally get Netflix working! Aside all else though our stay was fantastic and we couldn't have asked for more! Will definitely be returning!
