  • "A beautiful cottage in a good location."

The owners clearly love and use the property, with great touches everywhere making it a really lovely place to stay. The location is great with fantastic views from the property, though as others have said the parking space is quite tight. Comfortable bed, amazing shower, well equipped kitchen and the welcome pack was gratefully received. Why would you need to stay anywhere else?

Loved the outdoor shower and all the quirkiness the house offered! Amazing views and a good base for exploring Cornwall. A very nice welcome pack provided for us by the owners. We loved our stay here and will hopefully be back in the future!

  • "We absolutely loved our time in Moons cottage."

Such a warming welcome with the cake and all the other gestures we found. Perfect location and we all agreed we will come back next year ( a first for us ). Having breakfast out on the terrace was amazing. The shower was wonderful outside too, especially at night with the mood lighting. 10/10 from us and thank you again.

Hi Lee - we are so thrilled you loved your stay - it’s a very magical place, Golant - the shower - well what can I say - we moving back home in 3 weeks - am so excited for that shower can’t wait - we hope that you can return next year, it’s a hidden gem - Thank you for taking time out to leave this review - it means so much xx Property Owner

  • "Amazing cottage beautiful surroundings and spectacular views."

The cottage has everything you need and more and extra touch of on arrival gifts including gifts for a dog if you take one . Local kayaking gave new views and villages to the stay as you can get off at a local village for a picnic whilst taking in the views and the area is very dog friendly as are the people. This was an amazing holiday and we were fortunate to have amazing hot weather and would recommend this stay to anyone and thank the owners for offering out such a wonderful cottage .

Hi Jane Thank you for taking time to leave a wonderful review. You certainly had the weather that week- perhaps we will see you next year? Many thanks Chris Caroline and Dora Property Owner

The owners were lovely and left a cream tea and other food supplies to start off our break, which was very thoughtful! I hope to return soon and enjoy the delights of this beautiful cottage and its surroundings.

  • "Beautiful property in an amazing location however very difficult to access."

Not ideal if with elderly visitors otherwise absolutely stunning and everything you would need in a rental property provided.

Hi Karen - thank you for taking time to leave a lovely review - yes Golant is a beautiful village but unfortunately like most small Cornish riverside villages the parking is limited so we do feel privileged to have two driveways , albeit a little tight. We would love to see you again All the very best Chris and Caroline Property Owner

  • "Quirky, bags of character."

Definitely not run of the mill I can honestly say that the shower was the best we have ever been privileged to use. The kitchen and breakfast bar was such a great space we easily prepped and cooked even barbecued as everything we needed was provided. One small downside was that we have a fairly large SUV and found that parking in the spaces wasn’t the easiest. As for Golant we are definitely coming back it is a beautiful place with THE best pub within a one minute walk and the staff/ owners made us some excellent food. It was pointless driving anywhere else.

Hi Julia Thank you for your lovely review. The outside shower is my personal favourite too - can’t wait to get back home later in the year just for that amongst other things. The Fishermans is a great place Nick and his team are brilliant and as you pointed out, great food. We’d love you to return next year. Kind regards Chris and caroline Property Owner

Extremely well appointed and well maintained. It’s a delight to stay somewhere with a boutique hotel feel, whilst situated in an idyllic quiet Cornish village.

  • "Thank you so much."

We had a lovely stay - your house is wonderful. Couple of points, I’m very sorry but we managed to break a plate in the dishwasher. Also my car (a huge Volvo) didn’t fit in the front space, which was no problems it was fine in the back car parking space, but it’s getting quite overgrown. It didn’t impact us at all, but I imagine with the good weather forecast it might need to be cut back for future guests.

Thank you for your kind review- delighted you had lovely time - point taken on the hedge Property Owner

  • "What a fabulous place to stay, the house is tucked away in a picturesque surrounding with amazing views."

Caroline the owner was so friendly and kind, made us feel so welcome, even left us some essentials to get started and the home made scones were delicious. The house has everything you need and is very clean and comfortable, there’s an outside shower which is lovely! Location wise, it’s close to all the tourist attractions, Port Isaac isn’t far and is a must if you like Doc Martin. Parking is a bit tight at the property but if you know Cornwall it’s usually like that and has lots of hills to climb. Will definitely recommend to friends and family.

Hi Michael, thank you so much for taking the time to leave us a lovely review. You certainly got out and about. It would be lovely to see you again next year Property Owner

Fabulous location. Such a pretty village, the house had everything you need for a relaxing stay. We had a welcome pack left for us which was so thoughtful and a personal card & flowers. A lot of effort made by the owners. Would recommend this property for a relaxing break in a lovely house.

Thank you so much for the lovely review - it means so much. We hope you can visit again next year Property Owner
