  • "A beautiful characteristic house with stunning cottage gardens with all the facilities you could need and more."

    Dog friendly too with a enclosed back garden, the front garden was not as enclosed as we thought so couldn't have the dogs off lead there. Close to the beach and a pub which was perfect for us. Thank you for a wonderful stay, we would definitely stay again.

  • "We absolutely loved our stay at Pentira!"

    It is the perfect place for a family getaway and Sally is a wonderful host. She truly thought of everything, so many little touches that added to the experience. The house is beautiful with gorgeous gardens, and in walking distance to a lovely beach, as well as close to so many other places of interest. We’d return in a heartbeat and highly recommend!

  • "The cottage was lovely however disappointed with shower which was just a trickle."

    Difficult to use bath as this was in children’s room. We loved watching the birds! Beautiful area Lovely hosts We wanted an open fire and they provided some wood So nice for host Sally to make us a welcome cake, cider, tea and milk. Thank you

  • "We had a great stay in this cottage, which is full of character due to its age."

    Wonderful thick walls meant that it warmed up quickly, on the chilly Spring evenings, sitting in front of the very effective log burner. We managed a supper outside around the firepit with marshmallows going down well. Owners were nice & friendly, and on hand if we had any issues but none relevant, and they were not intrusive. The Grandchildren loved the birds in the back garden, which is enclosed for dogs, and the quiz on bird identification kept them busy. The garden is well kept and plenty of new fruit trees was a welcome sight, and the children loved the hammocks. A great welcome pack full of Cornish delicacies was excellent and much appreciated. The location on the Lizard provides lovely days out with many beautiful coves a short drive away, and a 10 minute walk to Kennack Sands Beach from the front door. The only slight negative on facilities is that a shower and bath for 10 people is a bit of a challenge, especially if not a family group, but we all had an excellent time as there is so much to do. Take your National Trust cards as this saves a lot of parking fees at these lovely coves.

  • "We loved our stay at the cottage."

    It was everything that we had hoped for, cosy, comfortable and well equipped. The fresh flowers and homemade cake added to the experience. There was enough parking spaces for our two cars. The cottage was well located with a pub and beach within walking distance. We found the host very friendly and helpful and would recommend this cottage for larger family vacations.

  • "As a combined family of 3 spanning 3 generations we had the most wonderful stay at Pentira!"

    The house is so beautifully quirky with nooks and cranny’s that it really feels like a home. The bedrooms are all so gorgeous with such pretty wallpaper and the most luxurious bedding. There are even bathrobes to match! Everything has been thought of by the wonderful owners who are so welcoming and can’t do enough to make sure your stay is perfect! It’s cosy enough in winter to relax by the open fire or in summer to laze I’m the hammock in the gorgeous Cornish cottage garden. Situated on the Lizard there are so many stunning places to visit and Kennack Sands beach is just a 10/15 min walk away down a hill, perfect for blowing the cobwebs away wotever the weather! All in all we had a fantastic stay and would highly recommend this beautiful Cornish gem ❤️

  • "Pentira is the perfect place to enjoy a holiday in Cornwall."

    The house is beautiful and relaxing, and the gardens are so peaceful. All the bedrooms are such a good size and having two lounges is a bonus. Lovely welcome hamper on arrival, with cheese, butter, milk, scones, jam and cream all from the local farm shop (which is a must visit). There is so much to explore from the house, Kennack Sands a shirt walk or drive down the road, is stunning with a great cafe, Goonhilly Downs, great place to walk the dogs. The hosts, Sally and Haydn are so welcoming and lovely, we will definitely be back.

  • "We all really enjoyed our stay in this house."

    Having 2 lounges was great as people could do different things in the evenings if they wanted. Also had a beautiful garden to the front and dog friendly enclosed garden to back. A very quiet and relaxing location with just a 15 min walk to Kennack Sands- and 10 mins to the coastal path. Also close to lots of other places if you fancied a short drive to exploring the lizard. A welcome hamper from the owners was much appreciated after our drive to the cottage. Would definitely recommend.

Nestled into the coastal village of Kuggar, Pentira is a wonderful property ideal for a group of friends or a family looking to explore the Lizard Heritage Coast of Cornwall.

When mealtimes call, a kitchen with a delightful countryside feel caters to your culinary needs, and guests can enjoy a heart-warming meal in the dining room whilst the handy utility takes care of your muddy boots.

When sleep calls, choose between five beautifully presented bedrooms, each with their own character and charm, including two double rooms, two double zip/link rooms which can be set up as a twin on request, and a bunk room, serviced by a bathroom, shower room and cloakroom.

The beautiful exterior of the property is complemented by a picturesque front and rear enclosed garden with mature shrubs and a wildlife pond, so why not dine alfresco as your four-legged family member reclines beside you in the sunshine?

Pentira rests in the coastal village of Kuggar.

Kuggar houses a local shop where guests can stock up on essentials and a local pub, The Potters Bar.

The town is close to Kennack Sands beach, an ideal spot for sunbathing, trying out watersports and enjoying a paddle in the waves, and here you will also find a beach café.

There are many stunning coastal walks which make the most of the dramatic scenery of the Lizard Heritage Coast, passing through locations such as Downas Cove, the National Trust’s Old Serpentine Works, Bass Point and Housel Bay Beach.

Nearby you’ll also find Mullion Golf Course which is set spectacularly on the cliff tops of the Lizard Peninsula in one of the most beautiful locations in England.
