    Literally feet away from the beach and sea views. . Places to eat nearby. Salakke itself is perfectly equipped and spotlessy clean. Milk and biscuits on arrival was a nice touch. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend. Nobody could be disappointed. Thank you for a fabulous holiday

    It was home from home and very well set up. The position was great and the access was very good for parking. Norma is a lovely lady and came and said hello when we were leaving. Lovely little back garden for Scoobie to play and within easy reach of the beach. If anyone we know is thinking of coming down this way I will definitely recommend this lovely bungalow to them...I have arthritis badly and it was easy for me to navigate around. Thank you Norma. If we are down again we will book....

  • "Lovely little bungalow that is dog friendly, very close to the beach and two very nice bars."

    Parking space next to the bungalow. Nice kitchen with everything you’d need. We have met the owner and seems very nice. The bungalow was very clean. Area has plenty of nice walks, I think this is a lovely area to explore the bottom half of Cornwall. Will book again.

Perched in a stunning location in Praa Sands, Cornwall discover this characterful single-storey holiday home, Salakee.

Boasting magnificent views of the Cornish coast, all ground-floor accommodation and pet-friendly living, Salakee welcomes four guests to relish the ultimate escape to Cornwall.

After unloading in the off-road parking spot, cross the threshold into your new abode to be impressed by a homely sitting room, complete with a TV and electric fire so you and your loved ones can curl up and indulge a movie marathon after a long day of adventures.

Allow the designated chef to become acquainted with a well-equipped kitchen, hosting all the necessary appliances required for a successful self-catered stay; set the dining table and gather together, ready to enjoy a feast altogether or step out into your very own private patio to savour an alfresco affair.

When the stars appear overhead, retreat to one of two neatly-presented bedrooms including a double and a twin, serviced by a spacious shower where you can wash away the day.

In the morning kickstart your itinerary with a relaxing stroll to Hendra Beach where you can relax upon the sandy trails or paddle along the shores before heading along the beach to enjoy some hearty fare at the Stones Reef Beach Bar.

Venture to the lovely location of Porthleven to enjoy Porthleven Harbour and Porthleven Beach, in addition to several shops, pubs and restaurants, perfect for stocking up on the essentials or sampling some tasty treats.

Well-positioned to also journey to the pretty town of Marazion, Penzance and Falmouth, you will never be short of things to see and do.

PRAA SANDS

Marazion 4.5 miles ; Helston 6 miles ; Porthleven 5 miles

The village of Praa Sands sits on the south coast in between Helston and Marazion. Praa Sands is known for its mile-long sandy beach and excellent surfing conditions. There is a bar/restaurant overlooking the beach – the perfect spot for lunch with a view or sunset drinks. Praa Sands is also home to a Golf and Country Club, from where the most wonderful sea vista can be enjoyed whilst you play. Just inland from the beach is Pengersick Castle, the tower of which dates back to the 16th century. It is said that Pengersick is haunted, and that the ghost of a monk has been seen wandering the grounds! The house at Pengersick is rumoured to be the birth place of John Carter, the self styled King of Prussia and a tunnel which leads from the house to the beach was apparently once used by smugglers. There are supermarkets and other retail stores in Penzance (8 miles) and Helston (6 miles).
