The property

Whalebone Cottage is a delightful three-storey house resting in the heart of Mevagissey, Cornwall, boasting sea views, a furnished terrace, and an enviable position close to the beach and harbour.

Ideal for families or friends seeking a traditional Cornish getaway, this welcoming retreat places the best of the coast right on your doorstep.

Step inside and discover a characterful interior spread across three floors.

On the ground floor, a double bedroom benefits from its own en-suite shower room, offering a private space to retreat after a day spent exploring the coastline.

Upstairs, the first-floor sitting room provides a wonderful place to gather, with sea views adding to the property's appeal as you settle in for an evening together with a favourite film.

The kitchen/diner forms the heart of the home, where holiday breakfasts can be enjoyed before setting off on the day's adventures, and leisurely suppers can be shared as plans are made for tomorrow.

The remaining bedrooms are arranged over the upper floors, comprising a twin room and a second-floor single, served by a contemporary shower room.

Outside, the enclosed first-floor terrace offers a lovely spot to enjoy the fresh sea air, whether you're starting the day with a morning coffee or watching the colours of the sky change as evening approaches.

Beyond the cottage, Mevagissey is one of Cornwall's most cherished fishing villages.

Wander around the bustling working harbour, explore the fascinating Mevagissey Museum, or stroll along the waterfront and soak up the village's maritime character.

Nearby St Austell offers easy access to the world-famous Eden Project, where vast biomes showcase plant life from across the globe.

A visit to Charlestown reveals a beautifully preserved historic harbour, often recognised from film and television productions, while the Lost Gardens of Heligan enchant visitors with woodland trails, productive gardens, and hidden corners waiting to be discovered.

However you choose to spend your time in Cornwall, Whalebone Cottage provides a wonderful base for creating lasting holiday memories.
