  • "A bit tatty."

Not worth the money. Disgusting keeping the mattress and pillow protectors on for different guests.

Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry to hear that you feel this way. We will inspect the protectors and see if they need to be replaced. Property Owner

  • "We just came back from an amazing week at Pebblestones."

We loved the property and the views from the two bedrooms and lounge were spectacular! The bedrooms are all decorated beautifully as we were initially worried as there are no photos of the twin room and other double. The kitchen was very well stocked and we were impressed with the cupboards being stuffed full of board games to play with, there were even some buckets and spades and nets! The utility room was useful for showering down sandy wetsuits and hanging them out to dry. The only thing that was a bit of a shame was that we couldn't eat outside due to the crazy seagulls as they will dive down and steal your food (a neighbour told us that it is nesting season and the baby seagulls should fly away soon and they should calm down). Fine for drinks though! The only minor issues we had was that the hot water in the family bathroom can suddenly go very hot so you have to be careful. It was fine in the ensuite as it was electric though. Also Ideally the showers could do with a deep clean around the base of the shower tray. I gave them a quick scrub and clean and they looked better after. We found Port Isaac lovely and a perfect base to explore the coast. We enjoyed pizza at The Angry Anchovy, and Sunday dinner at The Golden Lion and The Mote. We visited Polzeath, went body boarding at Constantine and our children loved jumping off the rocks at the 'Mermaid' natural sea pool at Trevone Bay and swimming at Port Gaverne. We even went swimming there at 9.30 pm one evening! All in all a great stay and we would love to return!

It is not often you walk into a holiday let and are blown away by the view. It is clean, comfortable, well equipped and very roomy. The welcome basket was a lovely addition. Port Issac itself is wonderful whether you're a Doc Martin fan or not (we are) and there's always a friendly welcome in the pub. The hills are killers but that goes with the territory as do the seagulls which we were definitely glad to see the back of, especially after obliterating our car! Overall would definitely recommend.

  • "The property was excellent and a super location for the village, facilities and touring the area."

It was very nicely appointed with everything you would need. We enjoyed a great holiday. The welcome gift was very welcome and appreciated. Cleaning on arrival was an issue for us as we found we had to wash plates, cutlery and equipment which was not clean when when we came to use it. A bit tedious. Whilst all the main floors, furniture and the bathrooms were well cleaned, under beds and settees (and surfaces on furniture (tops of settees, sideboards, tv) were thick with dust and left a poor impression for such quality offer. Given that its a 9am departure and 4pm check there should be time for good housekeeping. The house was overall super though and we look forward to seeing the owners development plans they are looking to take forward.

We couldn’t get the TV to switch to terrestrial and don’t watch cable channels so no viewing. We had to leave a day early due to the 9am check out time which we find impossible to achieve and feel is unacceptably early and ruins the end of your holiday.

Thank you for taking the time to complete feedback following your stay. The current building works are highlighted on the website so that guests can make an informed decision if the property is suitable for them. We apologise if these unduly disturbed you more than expected. We are sorry you couldn't get the TV on terrestrial but thank you for letting us know - we will have this checked out. Our check-out time is actually 9.30am - while we appreciate that might be an earlier check out time, this is standard to all our properties to enable the housekeeping team enough time to make all the properties ready for the next guests. The beds were extremely comfortable and it was lovely to stay somewhere with a good range of glassware, mugs and pretty much everything else you can think of in the kitchen. The extra space and shower in the utility room was really handy for drying and storing wetsuits and walking bits. Our only criticism is the outdoors area. With such a stunning view we wanted to sit outside lots. The furniture is lovely but needs some cushions and a parasol for shade.

Everything in the cottage was top quality - the towels, the bedding, the crockerry, the cutlery as well as the furniture. My only criticism would be the difficulty of drying the laundered clothes -the small 'airer' was limiting with a family and whilst an outside washing line might not be a good idea (seagulls/blot on landscape), a retractable line in the utility room would have been very useful. And on the fantastic patio a barbecue? The location couldn't have been better! A fabulous stay -thank you!

The view from the property as you enter the living room took our breath away, it is quite stunning. I would recommend hiring bikes in Wadesbridge and cycling the camel trail as far as Padstow. Also further afield we travelled to Bude which has a very nice beach. We hired a rowing boat in Bude and spent an hour on the local canal. All in all our holiday was really enjoyed by the whole family.
