“"4shore is a beautiful apartment with spacious living accommodation and a well equipped kitchen.”

Bathrooms are well finished with powerful showers. The best things about this apartment are the luxurious master bedroom and the wrap around balcony. The bedroom is large light and airy with dual aspect doors which open onto the fabulous balcony. This has seating for lounging in the sun and eating alfresco. We stayed for our honeymoon and couldn't have picked a better place to stay.

Peninsula Apartments

Peninsula Apartments are in an enviable position overlooking the world renowned, Blue Flag award winning Porthminster Beach and boast mesmerising maritime views across St Ives Bay to Godrevy lighthouse, made famous by Virginia Woolf’s novel.

About the property

Perfectly positioned above Porthminster Beach, at Peninsula Apartments, in St Ives, this two-bedroom, ground floor apartment, enjoys breathtaking views of St Ives Bay from most rooms and its wrap around private decked terrace, the pretty harbour, beaches and St Ives scenic railway all within a short walk.

Sleeping four, plus an infant, it’s an idyllic romantic escape or for a family looking to experience everything St Ives has to offer.

A spacious open plan living space maximises the sea views through floor to ceiling windows, with French doors which lead out to a spectacular large decked terrace, which wraps around the front and side of the property, so whether you're cooking, dining or relaxing you can still enjoy views of the bay, stylish interiors with crisp white furnishings and walnut flooring laid throughout a bright and airy space, flooded by natural light through the windows, two comfortable Italian cream leather sofas, ideally positioned to take advantage of both the views or the entertainment, on the 46” 3D smart television with full Sky package, including cinema and sports, or gaming on the PS3, alternatively step onto your large private decked area, with a glass of wine and wow at the, awe-inspiring vista from the harbour across the bay to Gwithian.

The kitchen and dining area are within the open plan living space, once again maximising the seaside setting and convenient for the chef to socialise with guests, a Conran designer dining table and Lloyd Loom high backed chairs, provide comfortable setting for dining in, alternatively the balcony offers an alfresco option with an ocean backdrop, the contemporary kitchen is a dream with a granite island unit, soft close units, black granite worktops and splashbacks, it is well-appointed with everything required in your home from home, a utility cupboard in the hallway houses a washer/dryer. If you have always imagined waking up in the mornings to a beautiful sea view, then you'll be delighted, both bedrooms enjoy ocean views from the comfort of your bed, the master super king size bedroom has direct access through dual aspect double French Doors to the seaward facing decking area, so breakfast overlooking the beach can be ticked off your list too, this room also benefits from a private en-suite with a large double Hansgrohe shower, the second twin room is conveniently located next to the family bathroom, with stunning views of the bay and Godrevy Lighthouse from the picture window, it’s fitted with two single beds as standard, which can be arranged as a zip and link super king bed on request, each bedroom is well presented with sumptuously dressed beds in Egyptian Cotton and offer ample storage space.

The family bathroom, located off the hallway next to bedroom two, has a double ended bath with overhead Hansgrohe shower, a wonderful space to relax and rejuvenate after a busy beach day. This ground floor apartment has one of the largest seaward facing decked terraces at Peninsula apartments, accessed from the master bedroom and living area, it offers outside living at its best, with unrivalled panoramic sea views stretching across from St Ives harbour to Gwithian, furnished with wooden coffee tables, a Kettler rattan corner sofa and a sun lounger, to relax and soak up the sun or take a seat at the glass topped rattan table with four matching chairs for dining alfresco.

If you enjoy dining out then you're in luck, a Michelin Plate restaurant is set right on the beach below, Porthminster Beach Café, the foodie favourite has views as good as the food, St Ives has a plethora of cafes and restaurants, supplied with fresh seafood daily from catches landed at its working harbour, to work off your meal browse around the pretty cobbled streets filled with boutiques and art galleries for gifts and local art, to see some famous work inspired by the town visit the Tate St Ives and the Barbara Hepworth Museum and Sculpture Garden. After the good life a healthy walk across the Cornish cliffs will be so rewarding, the nearby South West Coast Path heads towards Zenor or Hayle, a great place to enjoy the wildlife, native and migrating birds and to reach the glorious golden shores of Carbis Bay, like the larger St Ives beaches, this secluded beach is lifeguarded at peak times, so perfect for swimming in its blue flag crystal clear waters, enjoy a relaxing return on the scenic railway, it runs beside the beaches and the journey is breathtaking.

From glorious gardens to historic castles, tin mines and hidden coves, Cornwall has so much to explore, some of it of course you’ll think you already know, thanks to television shows like Doc Martin and Poldark, venture out on a man-made causeway of granite setts at low tide to the majestic St Michaels Mount, or cross the high walkway above the tropical rainforest canopy at the Eden Project, or search for where King Arthur was conceived, with the help of Merlin, according to legend, at Tintagel, the kids will love feeding the animals at Paradise Park in Hayle or Newquay Zoo.

If you love Cornwall’s healthy outdoor living, then this is the holiday home for you, with a paradise setting overlooking Porthminster Beach, 4shore, we think you'll want to return again and again.
