"Lovely cottage with excellent facilities, however the lounge area could do with updating i."
E. comfy sofa and dining chairs, a stable coffee table. A window blind in the bathroom would also be beneficial.

"This was supposed to be a quiet cottage in the country."
Not so! There is a yard outside the cottage, where we had two allocated parking spaces. This leads to a paddock where we could exercise our dogs. After we arrived, I received a text message from the owner, who lives next door, telling me that there would be a few more cars in the yard, as she holds swimming lessons. This was a gross understatement, as there were up to six cars parked right outside the cottage most days. Our holiday suddenly changed beyond all recognition. We were no longer guaranteed our parking spaces, as parents of swimming-club children would park in them. We could no longer take our dogs over to the paddock in safety, because of the coming and going of traffic. We had no privacy. One morning I was in the kitchen wearing my dressing gown and making my breakfast, with an audience of two cars full of children staring in. We also had no peace and quiet. Our dogs were constantly disturbed by the sound of traffic coming and going, car doors slamming, people talking and children shouting. We could no longer leave the back door open to help disburse cooking smells. We spent the week with all of the curtains and blinds closed. None of this is mentioned in the property listing, or conveyed to the holidaymaker until it is too late. I would not have booked if I had known that the cottage is situated in a busy car park. We have been duped, and I am extremely annoyed about it. Needless to say, I will not be returning or recommending this property to anyone. This issue needs to be rectified immediately.

"We had an absolutely fantastic time at the little may cottage."
The host Claire is excellent and friendly. The property is just a short way from Newquay and provided us the ability to visit many places whilst in Cornwall. The house was extremely clean and even included dog treats for our pup! There is a great field right next to the house to stretch out all of our legs and is even included in the price! We would highly recommend the little may cottage to our friends, family and anybody looking to explore Cornwall.

"Vacuum cleaner would be useful addition to the equipment."
Overall very happy stay at Little May.

"It was an intrusion into our holiday not being able to have the backdoor open for the dog to go out due to the cars arriving and leaving between 3pm and 6pm on the days we were there."
We had not been forwarned prior to booking the holiday. No information on what could be recycled. No leaflets on local attractions in the are. The fridge door was hung on the wrong side to gain access to the fridge. You needed to lean round the door. The door was reversible.

"We had a fantastic holiday in Cornwall and Little May was as described."
Clair was marvellous, nothing seemed too much trouble at all . Quiet and rural location with good access to Newquay and the surrounding area.

"This is a lovely little cottage that is perfect for couples, and Claire is a lovely host and nothing is too much trouble for her."
It's in the perfect location for Newquay, Parenporth, Hollywell Bay etc, but there are some need to knows that considering guests should be aware of. Pro's 1. Location 2. Very clean and modern 3. VERY POWERFUL oven and hob (I know because I cremated a pizza in it in less than 7 minutes!) 4. Amazing Host. 5. Stunning views Cons. 1. The owners live next door and you can see their garden from the living room window that may feel a little obtrusive to some people. 2. Claire teaches swimming lessons in the evenings from 4pm-6pm and on Saturdays from 10am - 12pm so parking can get busy, but Claire ensures no one parks in your bay and her students remain considerate to her guests. 3. There is no washing machine or ironing board at the cottage ( understandable because it is small) 4. The bed isn't very comfortable, but isn't a huge inconvenience. 5. No local shops - everywhere is a drive (didn't bother us, but may do with some people) Overall, we enjoyed our stay at little may, and I would recommend it to anyone if you just want a get away where you can be left alone to venture out with your pooch.

"We had a fantastic stay at Little May."
The setting with the views over the fields was outstanding. The cottage was perfect for what we needed and, most important of all, it was ideal for the dogs. Great hosts, friendly, approachable & knowledgeable about the area. All in all it was exactly what we needed.

"We had a great week at Little May Cottage, it was very cosy and spotlessly clean it's location was fantastic with great views across the lovely countryside especially from the field which you are allowed to sit and exercise your dogs, the Cottage was down a lane away from any passing traffic and very peaceful, the owners were friendly and approachable and very respectful of your privacy."
All in all we had a great time and will definitely return to Little May

"The cottage is lovely and comfortable, however the knives and forks plastic were child size and flimsy."
We were contacted by owner for access when we arrived as they were away until Sunday. On Sunday no contact but asked the husband and he said he'd get some but not to throw old ones away, quite stand offish. These were given to us Wednesday,. We thought we had a patio and access to shared garden/field, this turned out to be a car park for swimming lessons in hosts pool 4pm to 7pm and Saturday mornings. The amount of traffic as we sat trying to relax/eat outside was upsetting as this wasn't in itinerary, we booked last August. Reading feedbaxk from this year someone else has left similar feedback, we booked last August as we certainly wouldn't have booked it. No local walks as stated either. We didn't see female owner until we were packing to leave Saturday in passing asked if we'd had a good week, we mentioned not knowing about swimming lessons and car parking, she said it does say in description, and we had to share area, quite rude. The owners also had a large alsation dog, our dogs petrified when it barked We wanted a quiet get away with our 2 dogs, this wasn't quiet or completely dog friendly as stated.videos and photos taken to back this complaint.

Cottage clean & comfortable Hosts were welcoming & said if we needed them we could contact them Did greet us on passing Grassed area to exercise dogs only drawback as most days cars we coming in & out visiting the indoor pool which caused my dogs to bark alot Did not locate any walks for our dogs without going out in car as end of track was a busy A road Plenty of places to visit in surrounding area Other than this we had a lovely time quiet in the evening to relax

"Fabulous home from home."
The cottage was the perfect base for us to explore Cornwall. The owners were super friendly and gave us some great info of the area and recommendations. We loved sitting out on the swing seat and taking in the beautiful views and our little dog had a blast running around the paddock. Thanks for a great holiday!

"Great place for what we needed."
Everything supplied and if you needed something I'm sure the hoist would supply. Very friendly and helpful. Perfect place for our dog to have a run around first thing, dry off from the beach on the grass or last thing at night (secure and the option of closing the main gate if you needed). Will recommend and already thinking of booking it again next year
-
"Very comfortable accommodation with everything you need."
Andrew and Clair were very helpful and friendly and know the area really well. The cottage is set in lovely grounds and is central to many surrounding towns and beaches. Would definitely recommend.
-
"Our stay at Little May was really good just what we needed the facilities were as advertised."
The only thing we would change would be slightly more seating. The area for the dogs was brilliant and the owners were very friendly. It was a shame the weather was not too good but that's Britain for you.
-
"Property very compact but sufficient for a short holiday."
The owner was very pleasant and helpful. We hoped to walk from the property, but not possible.
-
"Very peaceful and relaxing thank you"

"The cottage is ideally situated for rambling beach walks and headland hikes."
Our dog was welcome and he thoroughly enjoyed romping in the enclosed garden. The facilities were just what we needed for a few days away from the city. We were made to feel very welcome and Clair was a great host. We will definitely come again. No internet meant that we had more time to read. Thank you.
