  • "Lovely property in a great location."

It could really do with a deep clean though. The very early check out and late check in felt a bit cheeky as the property wasn’t that clean. The property was very comfortable and there was good parking. The views are beautiful. Finally, I emailed in advance to ask for the twin beds to be strapped together and was told this would happen but no one had done it.

We are pleased to hear you enjoyed this lovely property but do apologise if the cleaning was not to the standards we expect. Unfortunately, your message regarding the bed configuration was also not passed to the local team so we are sorry for this oversight. We will raise both issues with the relevant teams and are grateful for your feedback. We do hope that we get the opportunity to welcome you back to Cornwall in the future. • "Polmorla was a well-equipped base for our holiday."

We loved the upside-down style living so we could check the surf from the living area each morning. The beds were really comfortable and the house was clean and tidy. As mentioned in previous reviews, the sofa could do with a bit of a deep clean but was otherwise in great condition. Even in the summer we appreciated the underfloor heating to warm up after an evening of bodyboarding! It stays very hot so I’d recommend only using for a short while. Parking was only an issue once when the builders for next door blocked the rear space and with a campervan, the front space was tight! Polzeath is our favourite place to be so to stay at Polmorla was perfect. We hope to return someday.

Thank you for your lovely comments, we look forward to welcoming you back in the near future. John Bray Cornish Holidays on behalf of the owner Property Owner

  • "Not being able till 4 pm on a Saturday meant the few issues we had could not be dealt with until Monday and Tuesday."

Faulty kettle and bin and bed not put together as requested. . The house could be cleaner as dust under tv and surfaces , had to clean pans before use. The frying pan had burnt food on. Bed knobs unstable on bed which makes it dangerous if someone use them to support them walking round bed. The house is in a lovely location and we enjoyed our stay but needs some attention in some areas.

Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry for the inconvenience caused by these issues. Your comments have been passed on to the team here at John Bray Cornish Holidays and to the owner. We hope you still managed to enjoy your visit despite these issues and would love to welcome you back to North Cornwall in the future. - John Bray Cornish Holidays on behalf of the owner. • "Amazing location average property."

Could be really nice but lacks investment and maintenance with too many areas worn and a little grubby. The listing lacks some accuracy with no commenting on the challenges or two cars parking and the photo is cleverly taken to remove the hill (which was fine but not called out). That said beds were comfortable, there’s no shortage of shower and bathroom facilities and it’s a short walk to an amazing little Centre and beach and we had a great holiday

Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry that you feel this way about the property, your comments have been passed onto the team here at John Bray Cornish Holidays. Our apologies that you were not made aware of the hills that are a key feature of Polzeath and had some issues with the parking, it can be slightly tight but there is space for 2 cars (one at the back and one at the front). We are so glad that you enjoyed your stay despite these issues! - John Bray Cornish Holidays on behalf of the owner. Property Owner

  • "Two manhole covers were cracked and broken outside which were very dangerous as you could easily fall down them in the dark."

No outside sensor night light. Washing machine broken which is not great for a whole week. My daughter moved her bed a bit and there were old socks etc underneath. Fridge very warm and could not get it cooler so milk and food went off. Parking is a real problem there is really only room for one big car at the back of the property. Parking at the front side is awkward and we had to keep moving the car to let in window cleaners etc in large vans to go to the property at the back. Think it should definitely say parking one car only.

Thank you for taking the time to leave feedback on your stay, I have reported all the points you made to our maintenance team who will look into and get it sorted as soon as they can, we do hope to welcome you back to North Cornwall again soon, John Brays Cornish Holidays on behalf of the owners. • "We very much enjoyed our stay & overall the accommodation was very good, well designed & comfortable."

The beds & bedding in particular were very comfortable. We did have a problem with the boiler which locked out on low water pressure on one occasion for some reason causing a worrying noise - the plumber who was called out came quickly & was very efficient in diagnosing & fixing the problem. The curtain rail in the lounge over the patio doors kept coming loose which was annoying. As we also run our own holiday let we're likely to be picky so please take the following comments in that context - you don't need to publish them they're more use for the owner. A shower in the upstairs bathroom would have been very useful. The other issue with the upstairs bathroom was low water pressure so that running the bath was very slow & you couldn't use other water supplies upstairs at the same time. The kitchen was well equipped but some items were missing which would be very useful eg. microwaveable glass mixing bowl, casserole dishes so this area might need a review. In addition the electronic scales didn't work & it turned out the batteries had leaked acid & needed replacing - we did this for you. The finish was beginning to peel on some of the kitchen cupboards (e.g, around the dishwasher). Cleanliness around the apartment was generally good however the sofa looked a bit grubby in places (being a light colour it's not very serviceable) & the tiled floors - although vacuum cleaned - gave the impression of not having been mopped recently. Hope you find this useful as that's the point in going to the trouble of providing it! Many thanks

We booked last minute after another property cancelled our booking and we were delighted with the swap! We stayed in Feb and the house was warm and comfortable. Beds are very comfy, the showers are great. Views over the beech from the lounge excellent. Highly recommend.

  • "Good location, short 5 minute walk to beach."

Beds comfortable although we always take our own pillows with us in case the ones in the property aren't comfy - and we did need them. Kitchen well appointed and had lots of plates cutlery etc. Utility room again well appointed. Lounge had comfortable sofa and big modern TV, although there were quite a few dog hairs on the sofa. I don't know if your properties have a yearly coat of paint, but we thought that there were a lot of marks on the walls so they probably need one soon. It would also have been good if there had been a bluetooth speaker. It's always good to have an outside space for boards and wetsuit storage and together with the outside shower this was great. However there are some brambles coming through the fence which need cutting back, some moss on the wood by the wetsuit hooks and the clothes hanger outside is broken. Very good that recycling is encouraged with wheelie bins and a glass box
