  • "Lovely clean, comfortable cottage in peaceful surroundings with everything you need for a few days away."

Jan and Nick were very friendly and gave us a welcome pack of goodies which was a lovely surprise. The small fenced garden was great for our small dog and it would be lovely in the summer sitting out on the patio watching the birds. Even with rainy British weather we managed to visit many Cotswolds villages and had afternoon tea at the Broadway Tower restaurant. We had a relaxing break and hope to return in the future.

Thanks for the review and the lovely basket of flowers. so glad you enjoyed your stay with us and look forward to welcoming you back with better weather I hope. Nick and Jan x Property Owner

  • "We really enjoyed our stay in this lovely cottage."

Extremely clean, comfortable and well thought out. Good directions regarding location and parking etc. Great garden for dogs - very secure for the majority though our Patterdale terrier did look at jumping the gap by the steps on the right of the patio but then she has been known to be an escape artist! Lovely walks from the door including a 5 mile relatively flat round robin walk to Kemerton where there is a pub and coffee house (during our stay the latter was open thurs to Sunday). Would love to visit again later in the year to do more exploring in the area. Thank You for a lovely holiday. Caroline, Tim and Bobbie

On arrival we had tea, coffee, eggs, milk and biscuits waiting for us. Booked it the same day we arrived, very last minute but were made very welcome, as was our dog. Would definitely go back if we get the chance but probably in the summer so we can make use of the decking area. Would highly recommend.

  • "We had a lovely stay (apart from the weather!"

) Beechnut was so private and quiet very tranquil! The private garden with decking, table, chairs and loungers was lovely just a shame we didn’t get to use it much because of the weather. The cottage is clean, very comfortable and has everything you need. The only small thing is it could do with a full length wall mounted mirror but that’s minor. Nick and Jan are lovely and very approachable. We could ask them about anything but we didn’t need to! We would definitely recommend this as your holiday destination not only because of the cottage itself but it’s well situated for trips out and there’s lots to do! Our favourite day out was West Midlands Safari Park it was amazing! You might need to book the extra time for two visits (it’s not much extra price wise) as there’s so much to do for all ages! We’re in our late 60’s/70’s and were shattered at the end of the day! (Take a picnic food is pricey) The cottage had lots of leaflets for places to visit which we found helpful! The only reason I wouldn’t recommend Beechnut is that other people might book it when we want it!!

So glad you enjoyed your stay and it was a shame about the weather. We love you see you again. Best wishes Nick and Jan Property Owner

Set in tranquil countryside with views over open fields, this cottage was exactly what we wanted. Well equipped and spotlessly clean, it ticked every box. The little garden was just right for our cockapoo and there was a walk in the fields by the river just a few yards from the cottage. Well situated for all the Cotwolds attractions. We visited Tewkesbury, Stow on the Wold and Bourton on the Water. If you are looking for a quiet break away from the hustle and bustle, then this is the place for you.

We had a warm welcome from Jan, and she had left a thoughtful welcome pack including milk, bread, eggs and biscuits. We only saw her once in the rest of the week but otherwise she was on hand with any problems if needed. The property is well situated for exploring the likes of Tewkesbury, Cheltenham, and Gloucester, and even Worcester and Cirencester were not too far for us. Being only a year old everything was still relatively new and modern, which made for a very comfortable stay. We would certainly stay again when we return to the area, highly recommended.

It is compact yet feels spacious, partly due to the bifold doors and fabulous views. It is all on one floor and well planned. The furnishings and fittings are tasteful and high quality with, in particular, a comfy bed and a great shower. Everywhere was spotlessly clean and the cottage is very well equipped. The welcome gifts were plentiful, much appreciated and included bread, milk, eggs, butter and shampoo and shower gel. Thank you. The owners were very helpful, calling to see that we had arrived and had what we needed. There is also an excellent, enclosed, outdoor space which was perfect for our dog. The dog basket, full of throws for the furniture, towels and poo bags was also a thoughtful touch. The cottage is part of a tiny village which is really just one cul de sac surrounded by countryside. We loved the quiet, rural setting but you do need to use your car for shops, cafes etc. We had a lovely stay and would definitely return if we were ever looking to stay in the area again
