    5 mile walk along the River Avon into the village of Welford-on-Avon. Perfect spacious accommodation for 5 of us. Everything spotlessly clean with everything we needed and very nice spaces to sit. Having the living area on the upper floor was perfect affording great views in both directions including from a well appointed veranda.....the owners were on hand and very friendly. All great.

    ! So much to do in the surrounding area and the Bell Inn pub serves amazing food! Some lovely run and walk trails from the property as well!! Sitting on the balcony in the sun as a family was special too!

    The cottage was beautiful, set in very picturesque surroundings. It was an upside down house which meant even in 33c heat, the bedrooms were cool. There was plenty of space which was great for four adults. Would definitely recommend and would look to booking here again in the future. Thanks

  • "Our time at Avon View was perfect."

    The cottage was absolutely immaculate, and so comfortable. From the soft bedsheets and comfy beds, to the beanbags the children spent movie night relaxing on, our comfort was sorted! The kitchen has everything you need, bathrooms even had a non-slip mat tucked away for use. The owners were so friendly and welcoming. Our son has autism and was really struggling on the last night, the owners were so kind to us which we will remember for a long time. Lovely people, lovely home and spectacular views!

  • "A very nice house, quiet bedrooms even though it is on a road into the nearest village."

    Deck was an excellent addition for seeing family since the weather was good! Didn’t really use the kitchen due to brevity of stay. Off road parking. Although the owner said chickens might be noisy, they barely made noise when we were staying. Close to an airfield and so we saw gliders and hot air balloons!

  • "We found the accommodation very clean , warm and comfortable."

    Equipped with everything you need for a weeks break. Good location and the upside down configuration presented beautiful views from the lounge. I think the rear sunny upper outside terrace would be ideal for breakfast/evening meals in summer months. Would I stay there again? Definitely!!!

  • "Great stay only thing not mentioned was the wooden steps to enter the property which was not suitable for my elderly Mum."

    The owners warned us that they would get slippery in the frost and were very friendly. I would recommend that a non slip surface should be applied to the steps in future .

The picturesque conservation village of Welford-on-Avon nestles on the banks of the River Avon in beautiful Warwickshire countryside. Just 5 miles from Shakespeare's birthplace in Stratford-upon-Avon, Welford boasts 3 village pubs, including the award-winning Bell Inn which won the best dining pub in Warwickshire 2016. Welford also has a general store, a butcher's, a children's play area, one of the tallest maypoles in England, many thatched cottages and a popular golf club. This area offers many lovely walks and cycle routes with The Greenway, Shakespeare Way and the Heart of England Way very close by.
