  • "As is inevitable with a shepherd's hut, space is limited, so the hut is best suited to shorter, slimmer visitors."

Tall and/or stouter visitors might find some aspects more challenging, such as the shower enclosure. The property was very clean and adequately equipped for two guests. The bed was comfortable, but a bit of a challenge for those of us who need to get up during the night to visit the toilet! The previous occupants had damaged one of the blinds (above the bed) and we were told this would be repaired during our stay, but that did not happen. Nonetheless, we were very comfortable and the hut suited our purposes more than adequately (we were visiting our daughter and her family in nearby Faringdon). We would certainly stay again in future. Uffington is a very attractive village with many thatched houses and an excellent community general stor.

  • "We had a brilliant stay, and everything was very clean and well presented."

Everything had been thought off, a fire pit a BBQ, firelighters, a real home from home. We would love to stay again. The only one tiny thing I would ask, could there be a few more teaspoons and another couple of mugs. You have my full permission to publish the first paragraph of my review, the second paragraph is for the owners only. Thanks Kind regards.

Hosts were very helpful and responsive to messages but not at all intrusive! The cabin was fitted with all mod cons, great smart TV and running hot water at all times. The weather was not kind to us but there was plenty to do in the area and we actually just enjoyed chilling in the hut, it was such a lovely place. • "Everything described as it was."

There was a bbq and we had a bit of human error trying to get it going. We were so hungry that we gave up and used the hob. The cleaning products were vegan which was superb as other half is vegan. The hut and bed itself was super cosy and I even loved the little bathroom, the place I would say is soundproof, we heard a house having a house party around 22:30 and the double glazing did justice. I would recommend the cosy getaway If you need a break.
