"Nice owners and nice accommodation."
Beautiful garden .
Lovely welcome with a bottle of wine , teabags and biscuits .
Very clean and even a small freezer .
Only slight niggle was the plumbing - a better shower rather than an overhead shower head which means climbing in and out of the bath .
Otherwise a great break - sadly in the end we left a day early to head back north because of the heat .

"Perfect little cottage for two + dog."
Very clean and well equipped. Plenty of dog walking from the door with the addition of a shop a very good and dog friendly pub in the village.
Owner next door, very helpful but apart from initially introducing herself left us alone to enjoy our holiday.
Excellent location for many attractions, although I was here primarily to catch up with friends and family in the local area. Hope to return in the future

"What a lovely cottage, in a beautiful location, and lovely grounds with horses in paddocks opposite and apple trees full of tasty apples."
The accommodation was very well stocked for our 4 night stay, comfortable and clean. Lizzie (who looked after us and the horses) was lovely and around if we needed her, but we were mostly out touring this beautiful part of our country. We recommend the local pub, excellent food and welcoming to us and our Boxer. Bath is a great place to spend a whole day soaking up culture and history. We would thoroughly recommend this comfortable cottage.
sorry we didn't meet you as we were away on holiday but thank you for your lovely review. I'm so pleased you enjoyed your stay in our Garden Cottage.

"Jenny the owner was very helpful and welcoming."
The Cottage is in a lovely secluded position and is very quiet and peaceful with good parking area outside. There is a local shop and pub within walking distance in the nearby village. The bed was comfortable and everything clean and presentable. Thank you for the wine and biscuits. Elizabeth and George.

Extensive field dog walks and the Cotswolds Way nearby.
The village pub is good for meals and the shop handy. Also, nearby Chipping Sodbury is very pleasant with lots on offer.
Owners Jenny and husband were friendly and helpful and the cottage nicely furnished and well equipped. A very pleasant stay.

"We had a very relaxing comfortable stay here."
Amenities were good. We had a problem with the thermostat for the heating, but the owners swiftly came to the rescue and it didn’t interfere with our stay. The property is well placed for visiting many places in the vicinity Bath being one. A tip is to take the park and ride. Bristol, Weston Supermare Castle Combe, Lacock and Chew Valley Reservoir and. Cheddar Gorge are a MUST to see. Jenny who lives next door to the adjoining cottage couldn’t be more welcoming. A rarity we have to say. We have stayed in Sykes Cottages many times and only 2 of the owners have been friendly and went the extra mile. It certainly makes the holiday So thank you Jenny and Eric

"A very quiet and peaceful retreat, Garden Cottage had everything that we needed for a comfortable stay, with a lovely view over the lawn and orchard to the fields beyond."
Sadly it was too wet and chilly to sit outside on the very private patio, which is surrounded by trees and lawn, but it would be lovely in the warmer weather.
The friendly owners live in the adjoining property, and are keen to ensure that everything is well for their visitors.

"On arrival everything looked fine, lovely area, but in the cottage found that some of the crockery, cutlery and pans had to be washed before use."
Disappointed that the area was not very dog friendly, with very few dog exercising places, had to travel a fair distance to let them run free.
Thanks very much for your review. We've noted your comments and will address them immediately.
With regard to the surrounding area, unfortunately we cannot allow dogs to run freely as we have other animals and there is access onto the road through the field fences.
I do hope you understand.

"This is a lovely cottage set in the beautiful grounds of the owners property."
We came by motorcycle and the only drawback is the gravel parking near the property which is difficult on a bike. We left the bike just as you turn in to the cottage which meant it was out of view and quite safe. The property is well equipped and clean. The area is stunning and we would definitely recommend it to anyone. There is free WiFi but it was not good for streaming tv programmes but anything else was fine. The owner was very welcoming and could not have been nicer but does not interfere. If you are looking for a good base to see the Cotswolds this is it.
