  • "We had an absolutely wonderful stay at The Little Foxes."

    The home was spotless, beautifully maintained, and had everything we could possibly need for a comfortable and relaxing visit. The house was charming, the kitchen was fully equipped, and the beds were extremely comfortable. The garden was a peaceful retreat, perfect for morning coffee or evening relaxation. The location was ideal quiet and scenic, yet close to local attractions. The host was responsive, and made us feel truly welcome. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a perfect getaway!

  • "This was perfect in every way!"

    If anything, the listing under-sold how amazing the property was... as it was even better the we expected! Let's start with the pre-visit comms - both from the automated website - which was excellent - to the specific questions that we asked of the owner (would there be a Christmas Tree?) - it was all spot on. Facilities were amazing - it is a beautiful house, with some lovely rooms. We didn't use the front snug or downstairs bedroom, as we didn't need them, but they were lovely too. The kitchen (and oven) were a tad cosy to cook a Christmas Dinner... but we managed! Bathrooms, hot water, oven, microwave - all worked amazingly. The back garden was enclosed for our dogs, which was great for a "quick wee" at night. Location is also fantastic - lots of lovely walks radiating away from the house, but also lots of fab places within an easy drive - Chippenham, Corsham, Lacock, Bath etc. The pub was a bit of a hike - a mile down hill/up hill - so not one that we managed. Probably the hidden gold star, was for the "welcome pack" of goodies - milk, tea, coffee, crisps and biscuits. We felt totally spoilt, and reflects the high quality nature of Sykes, of the owners, and of their cleaning team. We did initially toy with renting a cottage via the more famous letting company made up of letters (!), but our attempts dealing with them left us with a bad feeling, and we are so pleased we chose Sykes... and Little Foxes in particular!! Highly recommended

  • "We enjoyed our stay, lovely quiet location, with good size bedrooms and lounge area to accommodate us and our friends."

    Close to Bath and other National Trust attractions. Couple small things like a few others have said, house seems a work in progress so bit tired in some places. Also limited space in the kitchen to store the food bits we bought with us. But nothing affected our stay and it was perfect for a larger group getaway.

  • "We found the property very spacious , clean and well equipped in all areas."

    Lots of Books, DVD’s, Games etc. We were left Bread, butter, milk, biscuits and lots of condiments also lots of dishwasher tabs (which is so unusual). Couldn’t fault anything , except. The only downside was the Bed in the downstairs bedroom the mattress really needs changing, But would highly recommend this property.

  • "We had a lovely stay at Little Foxes and we would return if travelling to the area again, however the house was very tired in places and felt it just needed a few jobs doing."

    It was also disappointing that the main bedroom upstairs was not an en suite and just a shower room and felt it wouldn’t take too much work to alter this.

  • "The Little Foxes was a bright and airy retreat."

    Everything that you would need was supplied, and a lot more. The rooms were tastefully decorated throughout, and the bathrooms were well designed. However, we did feel that the quality of the downstair bedroom mattress was beyond its shelf life, as it was lumpy and uncomfortable. The quality of the bedding was fine, but the quality of the duvet was questionable. A simple bit of DIY is still needed to finish the rooms off, that needed the paint work touching up.

  • "We really loved our stay at Christmas."

    The house was very conforable and cosy and the owner had decorated with a couple of Christmas trees and left some very generous Christmas goodies! Thank you! We would definintely be happy to stay here again. The house is also well equipped, eg loads of plates, cutlery, cooking equipment, which was great.

    For our particular family set up there was only one negative...the accommodation was advertised as having 3 toilets...it only has 2. Probably not a problem for most. Apparently this is going to be changed on the web site.
