The cottage is on a working farm and has beautiful views over the Bride Valley. Limited WiFi, but all the better for switching off and enjoying the countryside.

  • "Wonderful place to stay."

So peaceful and beautiful, particularly in early spring. The wonderful weather helped as well. The owner was very welcoming and eager that we should enjoy our stay. The property was well kitted out for a short stay, and the comfortable bed was very welcome.

  • "A wonderful place to stay."

The Granary has everything you could want for a warm, cosy, relaxing break. The valley is so peaceful and beautiful. I never got tired of watching the sun rise over the hills, the herons glide across the river and the lambs play in the fields. Thank you Willie and Kitty for a warm welcome and taking such good care of me during my stay. A home away from home!

  • "Fantastic holiday, everything you would ask for and more."

The owner (Willy) makes you feel so welcome, nothing too much trouble. Beautiful cottage in amazing location, with view to die for. Stunning views all around the Cottage. Very comfortable cottage with everything you would wish for including an open fire, Thanks to the owner, for the wood supplied for our fire. Plenty of beautiful places around the area to visit, local shop and good places to eat near by in Tallow and LIsmore. The Bakers Table in LIsmore was great for Brunch and the Latch in Tallow, very good good and friendly service. Loved Rosey the Donkey, loved her carrots, and the black cat, which we named magic, made our holiday complete. Will be back. Thanks again to the owner for make our stay so enjoyable. We were sad to leave.

The farm setting was so peaceful and Will and his son always took time to tell my daughter about all of the animals. The location was perfect for getting to either Waterford, Cork or even the beach!! The scenery was to die for and we were very surpised at how peaceful the cottage was given that it is on a farm! We will be back next year for sure! Thanks to Willie and his Family again for such a great holiday.

  • "We had a wonderful stay at The Granary and we were blessed with beautiful weather."

Willie the owner was very helpful and kind and made sure we had everything we needed. It was so peaceful and the view was stunning, especially in the morning with the mist rising from the river shrouding the valley and creating a magical picture of rural tranquility. It was lovely to be back in Ireland to visit relatives and also to visit new places. Lismore is pretty and Cobh is well worth a visit. Thanks again for a lovely holiday.

  • "It was a lovely area, the owners were lovely people."

The kids just loved the Donkey and the Cat. What I would suggest is that the mattress on all beds be changed, they were very uncomfortable. Other than that it was a lovely house :)

  • "The Granary is a very comfortable cottage with superb long views over the countryside."

It is down a long twisting lane well off the road so very safe for a dog. There are sheep, cattle and a donkey in the field in front. You could just chill out in front of the open log/coal fire or visit nearby historic Lismore with it’s Castle which is owned by the Duke of Devonshire. The extensive gardens are open to the public. Take a drive through the nearby mountains or travel a little further to the coast with it’s beaches and copper coast cliffs.
