The bustling and ever-popular cathedral town of Letterkenny is located 20 miles west of Derry City and 35 miles north of Donegal Town. There are two town parks, the Aura Leisure Centre and a 6-screen cinema and bowling alley within the town. Letterkenny was also the winner of Ireland's "Tidy Towns" Competition in 2015 and is the ideal location to stay when exploring Donegal as the town has many interesting monuments and buildings, both new and old, as well as a range of intriguing art galleries and museums, including the fascinating New Mills Corn & Flax Mills, featuring one the largest till-working waterwheels in the country.
