  • "Declan was very welcoming and we had bread, eggs, tea, coffee and milk made available on arrival."

The property is clean, comfortable and has all the basics you need. We stayed in February, two adults and became skilled in the making up of the fire in the stove. The property is ideally placed for Ballinrobe, Westport and exploring the Atlantic coastline. There is an excellent bar/ restaurant in Ballintubber a short distance from the property.

  • "Excellent location to different parts of Mayo."

Owners couldn't fault them, fresh smell of home made bread and smell of turf which greeted us when we entered the house couldn't ask for anything more homely. Would highly recommend and would have no problems staying again.

Everything within the property was perfect and the owners live adjacent and ensured we were ok at every opportunity. Shops and local amities only a walk away and castlebar is only a 15 minute drive. Thank you for making our holiday experience an enjoyable one.

  • "It was so relaxing and the cottage was incredible a real delight to have stayed there."

The owners were so kind and went out of their way to make our stay even more enjoyable, the little things checking we had enough logs for the fire, fresh eggs off their hens, and soda bread made by Louise the owners wife was to die for, all in all the cottage stay could not have been better, we are going to book for next year in a few weeks time. Thank you Declan and Louise for letting us stay in your lovely cottage

  • "We arrived on Sunday afternoon and were greeted by Declan & Laura who live next door."

They showed us around their lovely cottage. A beautifully decorated and laid out cottage. 3 bedrooms (2D & 1S) kitchen, living/dining room, sitting room, bathroom & toilet room. Al the expected facilities and more were present. Lots of lovely little homely touches -homemade brown bread, shower gel & some tea bags coffee & milk to get started. About 6/7 mins south of Castlebar we used the cottage to see Cong, Westport House, Achil Island, a boat tour of Clew Bay and Croagh Patrick. They even supplied a few folders of tourist info to browse which was a lovely thought. Overall a really enjoyable stay in Mayo and a lovely property to rent. Declan and Laura have obviously put a lot of thought and effort into how they are presenting the cottage and it shows. Thanks a million for our lovely week in your cottage. Darren & Janice.
