  • "A fantastic location, being only a 5 minutes walk to Duncannon Beach and a 10 minutes walk along the beach or road into Duncannon."

All bedrooms were well appointed and clean, but the shower unit in the 1st floor bathroom is in desperate need of replacement as there is very little force in the water coming from it. The kitchen/dining area is very spacious, with ample cutlery, crockery and glassware. However, the majority of the pots and pans were unusable due to either rust or badly damaged nonstick surfaces. Duncannon itself is a lovely place with ample food and drink outlets and a small convenience store. Also Lumi Bakery in the village, just off the beach, has some lovely cakes and bread.

Extremely happy with the house, very clean sheets, towels, cutlery etc

  • "We all enjoyed our time at South Beach, which is only a two minute walk from the beach itself, through the playground and over the sand dunes."

The house was quite spacious, comfortable and interior amenities superb. Windows and oven could do with a clean but otherwise no issues and beds were all perfectly comfortable. The young ones had no complaints, just happy faces. We never got meeting the owners, who may have been away somewhere? I would highly recommend this property for an excellent break from mundanity and toil. Memories to treasure ...

  • "The position of the house was lovely."

It was great that there all the basics were provided eg tes coffee, dishwasher tablets etc. The shower upstairs needs updating , was blocked and the doors kept falling off. The single beds in the house were extremely uncomfortable- all you could feel was the springs sticking in you - i tried to sleep on top of duvet but was no help. I ended sleeping on duvet on floor for 2 nights. With how expensive it is to rent house for 2 weeks I would at least have expected proper bed mattresses. It spoiled my stay.

  • "Great location."

Plenty of crockery, utencils and cutlery. A few small maintenance issues with white goods but all functioning. Beds not the most comfortable but clean. I thought I had read T-towels not supplied but they are. However, I would recommend that guests take extra towels as that is the only item where there are not spares.

The house was generally ok,but the beds are very firm and gave us bad backs we made use of spare duvets to sleep on top of Clearer instructions on how to get hot water only would be good as we ended up with heating on as well not good Also spare black bin bags needed along with more pegs and an airer, and a guest book would be a good idea The village shop very helpful, fish and chips from off the hook are great Duncannon beach is lovely,

  • "Location was ideal but we were very disappointed with the level of cleaning particularly the kitchen."

Also the bin outside was almost full on our arrival - would have expected a higher standard. We were asked not to leave food in the cupboards but on arrival there was food already in them. Just felt the house could do with a good cleaning.
