The property

Tethera is a pleasant pet-friendly cottage nestled in the village of Ennerdale, in the National Park, in Cumbria.

Suited to a small family or friends, this countryside abode rests on the outskirts of the Lake District National Park with some fantastic walks right from the front door, and features tranquil rural views.

Park the car along the road and take in the tranquil atmosphere of the village before entering.

Enter, into the sitting room, where you can lounge on the sofa or armchair and flick on the Smart TV to unwind after your countryside rambles.

This is an ideal spot to relax at the end of the day, whether you’re catching up on a favourite programme or simply putting your feet up.

Move through to the kitchen/diner, where you can store fresh produce in the fridge/freezer and make use of the oven and gas hob to prepare tasty dishes to fuel you for the day ahead.

Once plates are dished, gather around the dining table and tuck in whilst discussing plans for your next adventure.

When you’re finished, pop the plates in the dishwasher for an easy clean-up.

Head upstairs to the first floor, where you’ll find a single bedroom with countryside views to admire from the window, along with a wardrobe to unpack your bags and settle in.

The double bedroom is equally welcoming, offering plenty of space to stretch out and make yourself at home.

ENNERDALE

Whitehaven 8 miles; Keswick 22 miles.

The tiny village of Ennerdale rests among the rolling hills and small farms of pretty Cumbrian countryside, on the edge of the Lake District National Park, just a few miles from the coast. The River Ehen runs through the village, with a stone bridge dividing Ennerdale into two halves. On the northern side are the village school and a pub, whilst the southern side is home to the parish church and a second pub. There are lovely footpaths trailing through the surrounding countryside, across fields and fells of the wild Ennerdale Valley and there are great opportunities for mountain biking, walking and horse riding. This area is rich in flora and fauna and there is also an outdoor pursuits centre at the top of the valley, available if you book in advance. Ambleside, Keswick and Windermere are all easily reached, whilst the many beautiful lakes of this stunning location can also be enjoyed.
