  • "What a lovely place to stay!"

Down a quiet country lane in deepest Devon, with the occasional passing tractor to remind us that we had left suburbia and were on a different planet, as we sat with a beautiful view up to Dartmoor, surrounded by chattering birds feeding off the feeders, amazed by the attractive garden, and debating which pub to visit this evening. BEWARE - Devon shuts on Mondays. But then, its a different time scale. Enjoy.

Just back from Week Cottage in Devon, A lovely cottage in a beautiful location, lovely owners who live next-door but you would not know they were there The cottage is halfway down a quiet country lane which isn't busy, the cottage itself is plenty big enough for 2 +dogs, we would definitely recommend this cottage and booking with Sykes was easy and and info was good Graham & Karen

Comfortable settees to lounge on for ‘bad weather’ days, lovely log burner and a comfortable bed for the end of the day. Lee and Clare are very welcoming; the lemon drizzle cake was delicious and free range eggs on arrival, much appreciated. PS We can highly recommend Clare’s wonderful home made chutneys and jams.

In fact, we know from decades of using the agency that what they say about a property is always accurate & that regular checking happens during the season. This year we had opportunity to speak with our landlady & she also finds the agency consistent & supportive.

Lee and Clare the owners were great, friendly and helpful but without being intrusive. They made us feel very welcome right from the first day. We had a few welcome gifts on arrival which was thoughtful and appreciated. We had an amazing week at the cottage. The view from the garden was stunning. The surroundings and local places to visit were nearby. The cottage is a perfect base to explore Dartmoor and it is not too far to nip over into Cornwall. Our dogs had a fabulous time too and were made to feel welcome. They loved exploring the garden and surrounding areas we visited. The cottage had everything you will need to make your stay amazing. We didn’t want to leave. We can highly recommend staying at Little week cottage.

  • "What a wonderful cottage!"

I was worried that it was too close to the A30 as the crow flies but all I could hear was birdsong and the wind in the trees. So comfortable and cosy. Kitchen had everything we could want, and more. Lovely, modern bathroom. Spacious bedroom, comfortable bed, warm bedding. Loved the log burner. We didn’t have good weather but enjoyed days hunkered down with the fire on, just resting. Thank you!

  • "We had a wonderful time at Little week cottage, it was so quiet and peaceful."

We particularly enjoyed being in the private garden with views of Dartmoor and just watching the birds. The location was excellent, it felt like the middle of nowhere but Okehampton was about 20 minutes away, the A30 even closer. There were plenty of shops in Okehampton, and lots of things to do nearby, including places to eat (very good food). We had planned to make lots of day trips, but it was so lovely, most days we just walked from the cottage.
