"Not as advertised!"
! Viewing the photo’s on the site when we booked we were under the impression we would be getting a sea view, looking at the photo’s displayed on the Sykes listing, upon arrival our lodge (63) was tucked away in the furthest corner facing a fence! The lodges on the website looked nicely spaced out, in reality they are incredibly close and to have any privacy had to have the blinds closed on most angles. Also having to walk to the lodge with the parking space allocated was quite a distance. The tv in the living room did not work, turned on but could not get any channel, so could only watch the tv in the bedroom and no tv in the lounge all week. The window in the living room was open upon arrival and struggled to close it as the whole frame had dropped, my partner had to go outside to lift the whole frame for us to be able to use close the window!! We also had an issue with a black & white cat and could not have any doors or windows open as it would just come in or jump through the window off the decking. I am allergic to cat hair and this was a massive issue!! Overall I am hugely dissatisfied and disappointed as upon arrival we were really looking forward to a sea view all week and to relax as we didn’t intend to go out everyday, yet we we felt we had to. We spoke to riviera site reception and told to speak to Sykes as it was booked through you and they didn’t want to get involved! My partner actually wanted to go home!! It has actually spoilt our holiday and feel totally miss sold. If your looking to book 63 as a sea view as advertised you will be very disappointed!!!

"The Lodge was overall very clean and tidy although, not surprisingly, there were a few stains here and there on carpets etc."
the facilities were very good and the Lodge well supplied with daily amenities (cutlery etc). There were also a few leftovers under the sofa and between cushions. Overall though the Lodge was very comfortable.
